Gavin Newsom, the California governor, isn't holding his words. Now calling the Trump government what it is  - Authoritarian.

'In an address to Californians on Tuesday night, California Governor Gavin Newsom blasted Trump’s use of military force as a “brazen abuse of power”. “That’s when the downward spiral began. He doubled down on his dangerous National Guard deployment by fanning the flames even harder, and the president – he did it on purpose,” Newsom said.

I was in Pacific Palisades and Malibu a couple of weeks ago. Newsom and Bass did a better job of "Fanning the flames" than Trump ever has. Trump warned them of the fire threat years ago. Sad to see the homes burnt to the ground, yet to be rebuilt and talking to those living in rented accomodation, while they wait for their homes to be rebuilt in 3-4 years time. These two morons are trying their best to turn a former paradise into a third world shithole. Go to Mexico and see what's coming for California if these two remain in power. Luckily New York and San Francisco are pulling back. They had to. Homeless drug addicts shooting up and shitting on the streets and refusing shelter so they can continue to use drugs? No wonder Trump got voted in.

A Washington based conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation, published a paper on the best option for the UK, should we leave the EU, focusing on free trade deals. To me, this is the most important thing to get right. (" It's all about the economy, stupid"). In summary, the report states:

    1. The U.S. and the U.K. should negotiate a free trade area based on the principles of national sovereignty and economic freedom.
    2. For both nations, the barrier to this goal is the European Union. Britain cannot negotiate unless it leaves the EU, while the U.S. has wrongly supported the EU over the sovereignty of its member nations.
    3. The U.S. policy of using Britain as its Trojan Horse in the EU is wrong in principle and doomed to failure in practice.
    4. The U.K. must ensure that its referendum on EU membership offers a real choice. There is no reason why the U.K., the world’s sixth-largest economy, cannot negotiate trade arrangements outside the EU.
    5. The benefits of an Anglo–American free trade area would be both economic and political. It would insulate the U.K. from the damaging effects of further EU regulatory interference and signal the two countries’ shared political commitment to their close relationship

    UK 1: EU 0

    Yesterday I bought a bagel for $3.

Now I have a $3 trade deficit with the bagel shop! So I'm imposing a 145% reciprocal trade tariff on them.

Today my bagel cost me $7.35. Art of the Deal!

Rather than pay $7.35, I now make them in my own kitchen which only cost $0.75. Any bagels I have left over, I sell for $3.00, tariff free. Art of the Deal!

At least Trump is consistent on those issues, because Truss isn’t, she sacked Braverman during his brief disaster at PM over fears that trying to stop almost forms of migration could stifle her ‘growth plans’.

She will do anything for attention and DT is itself batshit crazy enough to platform her. The Mail got burned badly backing her Tory leader election. Hope she carries on, she’s a huge, dry and high visible forever wank stain on the Tory Party’s brand and visual metaphor for their failures.

No wonder Kemi is desperate for 🥬 to STFU.

...he said, stroking his beard, sipping his pint of Old Peculiar, while looking around the snug, hoping for nods of approval. Unfortunately, everyone had left the boring old fucker to himself...

Finally, after Trump showed his hand, country after country are lining up to pay their debts while kissing his fat white ass.
Chapter 1 of the Art of the Deal has concluded and the US is counting its winnings. I look forward to Chapter 2, in which China begins to count its losses. Only yesterday everyone was using the stock and bond markets as measures of Trump's success. Well this morning, its only fair that the same metrics are used again. The benchmark S&P 500 had its third-best day since 1940, closing 9.5pc higher. Watch and learn.

    New Zealand lose the plot:

    Quote

New Zealand’s prime minister proposed a new alliance to battle global export restrictions which would involve Britain entering a trade pact with the EU. Christopher Luxon said the US tariffs had “shocked” financial markets and proposed a tie up involving the EU and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

    Taiwan bows:

Taiwan president Lai Ching-te said his government could eliminate duties on US products if Washington did the same. “While Taiwan already maintains low tariffs, with an average nominal rate of 6pc, we are willing to further cut this rate to zero on the basis of reciprocity with the US,” he wrote in a piece for Bloomberg Opinion on Thursday.

    South Korea pleads:

    Quote

South Korea welcomed Mr Trump’s decision to pause tariffs, as it seeks to cut a trade deal with the US to lower the levies imposed. “The latest pause decision can be evaluated positively in that it gives us room to minimise impact on our industries while continuing tariff negotiations with the US,” Yonhap News quoted South Korean Trade Minister Cheong Inkyo as saying in Washington on Wednesday.

    EU grovels:

Von der Leyen urges Trump to agree ‘zero-for-zero’ tariff deal. European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen welcomed Donald Trump’s announcement of a pause in reciprocal tariffs as she pushed the president to agree a “zero-for-zero” agreement.

China urges US to meet ‘halfway’ in tariff talks. China urged the US to meet it “halfway” in the mounting trade war between the two powers, while promising to “fight to the end” if a compromise cannot be reached.

  12. Certainly the greatest and most moving speech in US history. Towards the end I started chanting "Is there a fire drill?" at the Democrat losers. Watch it and be inspired. Trump is Sinatra on stage. Starmer is more like Tiny Tim.

So, ladies, it looks like the two threads, Trump and the EU are going to intertwine in a predictable fashion.

    1. Trump threatens tariffs and the EU backs down, thus protecting US jobs.
    2. The UK negotiates a trade deal with the US, thus avoiding tariffs...thus protecting UK jobs.

Still can't argue with any of that and I have a feeling that unprincipled snake, Starmer will be following it in supplication to his new master, Trump, with Lammy and Mandelson bowing down behind him.

As I said, predictable to anyone with an ounce of common sense, which is sadly lacking among the posters on this site.

I beg to differ. He's a Democrat, as is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Elon Musk. I mean, calling him a Republican is like calling David Cameron and Rishi Sunak Conservatives.

Furthermore, Starmer, Reeves and Milliband are all Marxists, as I told the Labour sheep on this board, prior to the election. I mean, it's obvious to someone with any brain, like recognising that a male has a penis and should not be allowed in female only spaces or participating in female only sports.

Trump is neither a Republican or Democrat. He's a businessman and is the reason the US will soon make the UK look like a corrupt, bankrupt and third rate country, it is becoming. Drill, baby, drill...

All the politicians, millionaire liberal "luvvies", middle class European sheep and most of the rest, were wrong about Trump. I liked him when I first read "Art of the Deal" back in 1987. Anyone that rubs politicians up the wrong way and is well on the way to achieving world peace, fair treatment for American workers and jobs for minorities is OK by me.

It just shows what a successful businessman can do, compared to a career politician.

So, ladies, it looks like the two threads, Trump and Brexit, are going to intertwine in a predictable fashion.

    1. Trump threatens tariffs and the EU backs down, thus protecting US jobs.
    2. The UK, independent of the EU, negotiates a trade deal with the US, thus avoiding tariffs...thus protecting UK jobs.

Apart from those mentally challenged DEI posters on ignore, I look forward to anyone, anyone, who can support either the EU or Starmer. Brexit is coming home.

    Let the insults begin....

God has kept him alive to make America great again. If you didn't believe in god, surely you must do now.

Faith in a Christian God is what made this country great. The collective loss of our deep rooted beliefs is what has led to our decline. At some point, everyone needs faith. With the state of our "multi-cultural" nation, it is all we have the cling to. Hopefully our church will offer leadership, although I doubt it. I'm certain we don't get it from those we elect.
