I started taking my son this season, he's 6. First game was in the Northam end one couple of season tickets from my family. I was a bit worried about the swearing but I just ignored it. When my son pointed it out to me I just said 'yes they are using naughty words, but you don't have to use them' which satisfied him.
Last two games I bought tickets in the Chapel end and tbh I found there was more swearing going on there than the Northam end. (Also a lot less singing which annoyed me) - I'll be going back to the Northam end next season.
My son pays attention most of the time but, at 6 years old I'm not expecting him to be riveted to the game for 90 minutes plus injury time. I've found that the further from the pitch the seats are, the less he gets into the game - at palace we were right up in row OO and he spent most of the second half playing on my phone.
On a side note, talking about Chelsea, my son lives with his mum up near London and the football club at his school is affiliated to them. I'm wasn't too bothered until he started going on about how Chelsea are the best whereupon I discovered that the staff had all been encouraging the kids to support Chelsea. They didn't enjoy the discussion they had with me after I found that out. I'd have said the same had I been a Chelsea fan. Cheeky sods.

Seems quite late. As I keep mentioning, the lack of emergency (outside Transfer Window) loans in future is going to be a significant development in lower league football going forward - you've got to think there will be a few caught out by it, you'd expect Portsmouth would have a significant advantage as they should have more money up front - assuming Fratton Park doesn't need patching up again...
I've highlighted what I believe to be the flaw in your argument. You are absolutely right of course, however this is the Skates we are talking about - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory seems to be their speciality. I'm convinced that the coffers aren't as full as they want everyone to believe and this season was sh!t or bust. Possibly because I support the mighty Saints I view things in a certain way however the tone I'm getting from Champaigne Ian is very much that it's a bigger problem than they are willing to admit.
As for relegation odds, that might be worth a flutter - just because they're apparently bigger than everyone else doesn't mean they are going to walk the league. Just like the last two seasons.

Great season. Some players really earned their wages this year and it was lovely to see.
As for next season, keep the team we have together as much as possible, keep Ron, get to 30 points before
Christmas and then keep pushing. If we can avoid anyone doing a double over us again that will make a massive difference.
It's interesting to note that no one has yet said 'we need to get rid of the deadwood' which says a lot about this season and the squad Ron is putting together. I'd probably give most improved player to Martina - massively better compared to the start of the season, still got work to do though

23-year old Kai Naismith was Cook's second signing after taking over. Naismith signed a 3 and a half year contract in May 2015 after joining from Accrington Stanley for an undisclosed fee.
This is what he had to say back then:

Now he's been transfer listed along with Matt Tubbs who, if memory serves, was poached at vast expense from League 1. These are two players who they evidently felt were it special and were worth investing that bit extra in.

I've misquoted him somewhat, which is my fault. He's talking about selling 10,000 season tickets at more expensive prices than last season so they sign a player worth 4k a week to rip up League 2.
Tbh, can anyone here see the skates paying more to watch League Two football?
Their income is going to reach a critical mass soon but instead of exploding things will just slump embarrassingly - they will lose fans who want better football. Granted they probably have around 7.5 to 10k hardcore support but that's not going to give them enough.

From what I can see..... Falling over. Doesn't even look like a push or a trip and I refuse to believe that a GK even at that level could misjudge a ball that badly.
As for Corp Ho..... I always figured he was a bit special however another 10,000 season tickets? And where will they sit? Actually are that even that many more skates?

Would have liked them to come up, if only to really annoy the skates.
Other than that they are just another club like Norwich - everyone knows they are there but don't really care enough to put effort into a proper rivalry

That's a REALLY old rule and would lead to a lot of goal-hanging, as you'd only need to stay behind the keeper
just change that to last defensive outfield player. Or 'except the GK' or something.
Kane's position and actions in the Spurs match is a perfect example of why the current rule is broken - he was behind the defence, the ball was played through, he started to move toward the ball and then stopped which caused the Saints defence to hesitate thinking he would be flagged for offside which gave Son the half second he needed to run through and get on the ball.
It's a matter of opinion as to whether he became active or not and therefore offside, the fact is his actions made the defence hesitate which gave the advantage to Spurs at that moment.
This kind of thing is why they stopped the scrum half selling dummy passes at the base of the ruck in rugby - it became a tactical method of winning a penalty easily and gave too much advantage to the side in possession of the ball. Dewi Morris was particularly good at it.
Keep it simple - if you are behind the last defender when the ball is played through, you're offside.

My favourite new rule is that teams spelt like; 'Portsmouth' in division 4, will still be in division 4 at the end of the season. Great rule.
I think they're doing just fine at achieving that, no need to change the rules for them

Anyone can scribble numbers on the back of a fag packet and call it a financial plan. They've thrown the kitchen sink at it this season and failed. I can't see how they are going to get more finance in to a club with such a poor financial reputation and in such need of money just to bring it up to proper modern standards. Not only that, I was seeing a lot of 'I can't watch another season of League Two' around last night.
Numbers will inevitably start to drop - not by much I'll grant you but each fan lost has exponential effect on income, and they're going to need every penny they can scrounge out of the bestest over the summer. I'm also wondering if the partisan nature of the fans is making players shy away from going there- all it takes is a couple of poor games and the hero/villain swing-o-metre is in action.

Having watched MOTD last night I'm hadn't realised only did Newcastle spank the yobs, they did it with 10 men...... I reckon Benitez may stay there.
This delay to the Man U/ Bournemouth game works in our favour - they really need to win which presents a nice dilemma for Van
Gaal.
