Jeff Le Taxi Posted 10 August, 2009 Share Posted 10 August, 2009 Wouldnt he make a good partner for Ricky Lambert? I know hes still with us and hes the right age! showed PLENTY of promise every time ive watched him!
SaintDonkey Posted 10 August, 2009 Share Posted 10 August, 2009 I think White has a great future - not sure he's ready for a regular first team slot yet but maybe a run out alongside Lambert tomorrow night?
saint_stevo Posted 10 August, 2009 Share Posted 10 August, 2009 Right wing maybe, but only everynow and then IMO
krissyboy31 Posted 10 August, 2009 Share Posted 10 August, 2009 One for the future. Probably could do with a spell out on loan to a L2 or BSP club this season to give him some experience.
Rod Le Shearer Posted 10 August, 2009 Share Posted 10 August, 2009 Wouldnt he make a good partner for Ricky Lambert? I know hes still with us and hes the right age! showed PLENTY of promise every time ive watched him! not a bad shout, actually ! Lambert is not the quickest,so having a fast forward next to him would certainly be preferred. and White is very fast ! even so,I think he`s too young and inexperienced for this season,we cant expect him to deliver constantly just yet.. IMO,we need another striker with pace (maybe I`m getting too greedy now that we are spending money)

TBH Pato isn't ready to be starting week-in, week-out either. JW was out on loan at Shrewsbury but only played half a dozen games before getting recalled then broke his ankle. saintchris23 Posted 10 August, 2009 Share Posted 10 August, 2009 Jamie White is friends with some of my Sunday league team and was at our game in Hamble on Sunday. He looked like a normal lad, a little bit heavy around the middle and I asked him to run the line. The looks of horror from everybody that obviously knew who he was - I didn't have a clue! So I'd say that he's a little while off being fit yet. He did suffer some shocking injuries season don't forget!

Shrewsbury were very keen to keep him too......the jury is out on this one, give him a few games, the cup and coming off the bench is perfect. Maybe look at loaning him out in Jan. hugh Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 Agree with most of what has been said. Definitely one for the future. I expect to see him eased into the team towards the end of the season. We need at least four strikers to rotate and to cover injuries. I also expect that Saga and Rasiak will be off, which will leave us with one experienced (Lambert) and two youngsters (Paterson and White), although both Lallana and McLaggon are listed as strikers on the OS. Jeff Le Taxi Posted 11 August, 2009 Author Share Posted 11 August, 2009 Jamie is an out and out centre forward, never understood why JP kept playing him out of position?
