Professor Posted 3 October, 2009 Share Posted 3 October, 2009 Pardew has been saying for some weeks that he needs to reduce the playing staff by loanimng out players who have no prospects of a place in the first team. He is quoted again this week that 28 professionals is too many and you can't have players at the club who are not contrbuting. I'm sure he's right, but how easy is it to loan people out? We are a Div1 team and if someone isn't worth a place here, what is the chance of other clubs taking him? Its not the same as loaning out CCC reserves, or up-and-coming youngsters. How many should AP be trying loan out, which players, and what are the prospects?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Share Posted 3 October, 2009 I think we would struggle to persuade teams to loan some of our 1st team players - getting clubs to loan our 2nd string will be very tough unless a team is really desperate. davej27 Posted 3 October, 2009 Share Posted 3 October, 2009 We have to many players that are not good enough for League One so it is going to be difficult to offload

ottery st mary Posted 3 October, 2009 Share Posted 3 October, 2009 Tiverton are looking for fresh blood....Jamie Hatch is now on their books and playing well. Shame...always thought he was a good prospect at Saints....There are a few ex Exeter players from a very good Grecians youth team just two years ago....Many of our young squad players will go the same way in the next year or so.....
