Just back from the game

Can't be bothered with players ratings as they were all **** poor.

Strange place to watch a game of football. Miles away from pitch and 3/4 of ground empty apart from one stand. The game was so dire i found myself looking out for where the athletic events such as the hammer, long jump and pole vault were.

Not sure how many Saints fans were there, maybe 400? some decent support and songs tonight.

I don't like to pick out one player from the poor display but this is the 4th time i've seen McGoldrick play and still can't understand how he is in the team. He just doesn't seem to want to try or put any effort in.

On this display it won't be long before we return to the Don Valley stadium i'm afraid.

Can't wait for Donny on saturday :-(

At the beginning of the season Lowe told David McG he would be our striker this season, that is why he is always picked.

It is strange a month ago Fans were worried that McGoldrick would be sold in the transfer window.

A month ago when we were beating Birmingham you mean?

Things have changed since then, our already weak squad has been reduced to virtually neant, so much that we've had to let garbage like Dyer and BWP

play again.I thought we'd win last night, I was wrong and am bitterly disappointed, not particularily about the result but by the fact that the old evils are creeping back in again, no effort and no cohesion.

From the team that beat Birmingham in the Carling we were without Thomas,Holmes,Schneiderlin and Gillet, the engine room of the affair.

I'm not sure that Svensson is the Messiah we all thought he would be, to slow, too limited nowadays. Bart is a joke, always has been apart from a couple of games. I thought Burley wasn't up to much as a manager, but at least he saw through Bart, was it Burley that kicked Smith out as well?.

I thought last night was dismal.

Not one single positive. Well, maybe John's goal, which was good.

We were awful. There was no fight, no charahcter, no skill, no quality. We were 3-1 down with 15 mins left and we couldn't get out our half. AGAINST A BLOODY LEAGUE 2 TEAM.

Don Valley is a great athletics stadium. But a bloody awful football gorund. It was like we were playing in Russia. No atmosphere.

All round a very very dark night to be a Saints fan.

A real test on Saturday, let's see if we can show any gumption and come back against a Donny team that were thumped 4-1 last week.
