New (Southampton) Managers

I know this is probably not true, but it seems when any other clubs get a new manager they get off to a flyer if it is during the season and the club has had a bad run. Not sure on the stats for this, but it never seems to happen for Saints like that. I am sure the last time that we won a game with a new manager (there have been a few) was Alan ball?

 

I went along to the game last night expecting things to turn around, and get off to a flyer and go on a bit of a run, but came away thinking 'What a mess' after the second half.

 

I think it must be something to do with the fact that everyone see's it as a clean start and are out to impress the new gaffer, so why does this not apply to Saints?
