The9 Posted 5 October, 2010 Share Posted 5 October, 2010 As a manager you have to instill disclipline at every turn, and not wasting energy and time debating bad decisions and getting suspended or sent off as a result of it is part of that. I don't necessarily see how him stating the ref got 2 decisions wrong in a measured way with the benefit of video evidence is disrespectful anyway. If he got the decisions wrong, he got them wrong. Of course I can't remember the incidents anyway, so he might have been putting on a front, but it doesn't mean he wasn't respectful of the referee's position. kpturner Posted 5 October, 2010 Author Share Posted 5 October, 2010 Personally I am not bothered whether he was being respectful or not. It just made me chuckle to hear him going on about respecting and accepting the referee's decisions when the result went our way. I wonder if he will be so generous when we lose three points (or, heaven forbid, a promotion) as a result of a bad decision. Saying "The officials have cost this club dearly" doesn't sound too respectful to me I think it is much more entertaining when the likes of Warnock go off on one about a referee (you can tell I am not a referee!).
