pap Posted 15 July, 2013 Share Posted 15 July, 2013 Funny. Was just mentioning the situation regarding the "parachuting in" of a candidate in Liverpool Wavertree. It'd seem that Labour is pulling the same trick with Rowenna Davis. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10547242.Labour_selects_General_Election_candidate_for_Southampton/?ref=mr All female selection. Rowenna has been in the city for a year campaigning for the job. Happy with your choice, Itcheners, or is this another case of a political party foisting an inexperienced career politician with tenuous links to the local area on the public? Most importantly, will it affect your vote?
Viking Warrior Posted 15 July, 2013 Share Posted 15 July, 2013 If I was registered there for my vote. Then she would get my vote. She knows nothing about the area, let alone about the folk of southampton. We need someone local standing up for the needs of people in Southampton , Not someone Millband has selected and parachuted in John Denham will be a sad loss, He is a sotonian through and through and supports saints. I note on her profile she spent some time in skatesville Davis was born in Lewisham[1] and spent her early years in Portsmouth and Catford before her family moved to North London, where she attended the comprehensive Hampstead School.
