Forgotten Hotmail sign in and security question

Friend of mine has forgotton the password and the answer to the security question for their hotmail login. I think they may be screwed but thought i would still put it out there, any ideas of how to get in?

You can ask hotmail tech services to reset it for you, but this a long and drawn out process. They will ask you for last known login times, ip address's, people on your contact list etc etc
