Can you blame them?

Nothing to do with Lowe et al.

I'm on about if the likes of Surman and Lallana asked to leave.

What with all the antics going on at our club, could you blame them if they wanted out and asked for a transfer?

Interested to hear people's thoughts.

Would not blame them. In fact Drew Surman is getting in a rut. He is not developing in my opinion and needs a challenge to take him to the next level. He won't get it with kids around him.

Lallana is in a different situation. He needs games at present but also a coach to give/teach him more discipline in his positioning and his movement in the final 3rd of the pitch. Not worried he is not scoring much but I am worried he is not getting many assists either although it was a peach of a pass to Saganowski to score on Saturday

I guess they are being asked in view of the club's financial predicament rather than for some petty reason like not having their laces tied or having their tie loosened?

No one likes it, but for the club to "survive" difficult and unpalatable decisions have to be made.

If we are in L1 next year I would rather it be from a position of nil points rather than minus 17. It would also be attractive to any potential investors if they see they have a chance to return to the CCC in the first season rather than immediately face a task to stay in L1.

Perception Mark, nothing more.

FWIW, I'm with you, couldn't blame any of them for wanting out right now, and as you say the likes of Drew appear to be stagnating rather than developing as they should be, but then it's got to be difficult being one of the most experienced players in a squad at the age of what, 21??
