alpine_saint Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 OR Reading are using the media to play hard-ball over the price. Therein lies the problems of Lowe and Poortvillet gobbing off in public about our problems. Everyone knows how to drive a hard bargain with us. Matthew Le God Posted 18 August, 2008 Share Posted 18 August, 2008 OR Reading are using the media to play hard-ball over the price. Im sure Lowe wouldn't be taken in by such ploys(as you weren't). One thing he is good at is getting the best possible price for our players. Andrew Davies I feel is leaving cheaply due to clauses in his contract and so is out of Lowe's hands in that regard. Where as Surman will cost quite abit if he goes.

Generally speaking, he does tend to get as good a deal as possible.

Thats what I meant Lowe would't sell someone like Davies for 1.3m he would get alot more. His hands are tied as far as price goes I think.
