SaintDonkey Posted 3 March, 2009 Share Posted 3 March, 2009 (edited) Wotte seems to be bigging up the role that Wotton played on Saturday - without stepping on the pitch. We have some strong characters in the dressing room, with some players who have seen it all before and know what is at stake. They know how to deal with certain situations and can help the younger players. The team is very much united and so is the team around the team which included Paul Wotton at the weekend and he did a very good job for us. Is the Wotte / Wotton partnership going to be the saving of Saints? Edited 3 March, 2009 by SaintDonkey fixing quote

Is the Wotte / Wotton partnership going to be the saving of Saints? Wouldnt be a bad thing, he's ovbiously on the downturn wrt his playing days but does seem to be instrumental and has shown concern and compassion for the youngsters in recent weeks. Could be future reserve manager (as I believe Woote still oversee's this?)

Bailey Posted 3 March, 2009 Share Posted 3 March, 2009 Don't know if anyone realised but Wotton was out on the pitch warming-up with the players before the Cardiff game. He was obviously there to keep the players motivated and to put his experience to good use. I noticed he was having an in-depth chat with Svensson and Gorre when the players were doing their warm-up routine with the physio. Maybe he's having a bigger say in things than we first thought? As i have said ther3e is a great spirit in the dressing room, something that has been missing for a long time.HR said in the relegation season that the dressing room was quiet. A good spitit in the dressing room ups the performance. Perhaps the mainly British spine of the team is starting to pay dividends.
NickG Posted 3 March, 2009 Share Posted 3 March, 2009 Heard Saeijs is big character and very positive -certainly sounds it in interviews.
