well we all know lowe's skills at this but i look at the exit of all those very useful players who have left us recently helped to put us in the position we are in. no one on this forum knows the full story of these departures but some fair guesses can be made.

scot mcdonald

kevin davies

kenwynne jones

martin cranie

matt oakley

ricardo fuller

dexter blackstock

leon best

nathan dyer

etc.

must be more

yes, i know a case could be made for each of these exits, however this is a lot of talent and was not the threat of being consigned to the stiffs used.

There are loads more to add to that list, but it's the same at just about every football club. The list that you have put up are all justifiable - either the player wanted to leave or we had better in the squad at the time - was Scott McDonald worth keeping when we had Beattie in the squad and on fire? Managers make decisions on how they want to play and the players that they want to achieve that.

Get used to the idea of a revolving door as we'll have one pretty much the whole time we are in this division as players come in on loan, others leave for better clubs, youngsters get promoted to the first team but aren't quite good enough, or journeymen retire.

I predict that next season we'll see another 10 new players start a match for Saints that aren't at the club now at that's just a fact of life for a club in our position regardless of the chairman.

Let us hope that the ten new players are not all 16 years and in the side at the same time under some revelutionary Dutch experiment..WE would not be that mad , surely.:smt017

Probably more to do with the individual players and managers rather than Lowe .

well we all know lowe's skills at this ..

..but some fair guesses can be made.

scot mcdonald arrogant tw^t,moved on by WGS

kevin davies fat and disinterested at SFC,moved on by WGS

kenwynne jones wanted to play in the Prem

martin cranie thoroughly knobbed off by Burley, limited opportunities given

matt oakleyinjury prone etc, in truth better than some of those we kept or signed.Blame GB

ricardo fuller as Oakley

dexter blackstock surplus, but better than Best

leon best out of contract, but no great loss in my view

nathan dyer has only ever really played well for Cotterill and Martinez.Poor man management by coaches

etc.

must be more

.

Add Mills - ****ed off by 'Arry,+ wanting the extra £ at Man City (joining wartface again).

As much as I blame Lowe for many if not nearly all our problems, these are problems with the coach etc not the chairman.

You have to question the appointment of coaches etc to nail this at Lowe's door but that is another matter.

good response, but i feel that a carrot/stick shown to some players may have helped our course, though theses exits were not of course totally to blame for our present situation

the majority of blame must be down to lowe/wilde

Lowe is totally to blame for our current plight in my view,as the one who sent us on the downward spiral in 2004.

That said,I don't feel he is individually responsible for all the player exits as set out in the original post.

Unfortunately Lowe would be, at least on the evidence of this season. Best he not be here next season methinks....

A lot of people have argued that the slide started when Bridge was sold or Fitz Hall released to go to Pal;ace and of course score against us for the draw which relegated both of us. We are here because of the ineptitude of Lowe and his cronies.
