Johnny Shearer Posted 28 March, 2009 Share Posted 28 March, 2009 The BBC have snapped this great cop drama with a touch of humour up. Only a year or two after the last season finished. Check out how the 'cells' change over the years. Nonetheless it'll be shown on BBC2 at 11:20! All 5 seasons on a nightly basis. Good stuff indeed but a rubbish time. Get involved people as it'll be worth it IMO.
TheCholulaKid Posted 29 March, 2009 Share Posted 29 March, 2009 I'm currently halfway through season 3. After the first season I was wondering what all the fuss was about (thought the characterisation and script were a bit weak). I'm glad I persevered - best thing since (and possibly even better than) The Sopranos.
Johnny Shearer Posted 29 March, 2009 Author Share Posted 29 March, 2009 Aye Season 2 threw me initially but was worth it. As for McNulty - you can't help but like the man.
jeff leopard Posted 30 March, 2009 Share Posted 30 March, 2009 Aye Season 2 threw me initially but was worth it. As for McNulty - you can't help but like the man. McNulty is a legend. Like quite a few of the cast, he's English, and has a well plummy BBC voice! I watched the first episode of Generation Kill the other day and there are plenty of actors from the Wire in that. And its brilliant, of course.
