The huge mistake could have been avoided!

I know all this talk is irrelevant now.

But the moment poorvliet resigned (I personally believe he was pushed)

It should have sent huge alarm bells ringing in Lowes head, he should should have been thinking a dutch coaching setup clearly isn't right for saints it was a brave attempt at trying something new but the wrong decision.

Lowe had the chance to redeem himself by appointing somone with the necessary grit and experience of this division and simply choose not to, it beggars belief that he appointed somone who was allready part of the failed regime. I dont buy into the rubbish that we couldnt afford anyone that would work for as little as the dutch duo.

I have accepted we will be in league one and am actually looking forward to starting a fresh with a clean slate, assuming we are still around by then. Its wrong to say it but I wouldn't be against getting in a whole new team, a team free from the pre installed "bottle it" only give as much effort as you want saints mentality. I dont however in anyway blame the youger players they have done all that could be expected of them.

Exactly!

Clearly this wasn't the way forward for our club.

How often does the assistant do better than the manager he worked under..........can't think of any. There must be some but can't think of any.

Clueless decision...just one of many from the clueless board!

Please for the sake of our future get get an English manager in and lets get promoted back into the CCC.

It could have been avoided if the "revolutionary" coaching set up hadn't been risked in the first place.

What is even more about it was the fact that JP hadn't managed at a high level in the Dutch leagues, but was experienced at coaching young players, whilst Wotte had managed one or two clubs in the Dutch first division, yet JP was made head coach and Wotte the Academy director.

Given the financial situation he inherited, I can understand Lowe's need to make cuts etc, but the coach situation was just too risky, and few people would be fooled by spinning the appointment of 2 foreign coaches with no experience in this country as a sort of BOGOF.

The cheaper option despite quantity usually works out as the wrong one.

I can't believe the whole dutch coaching thing was approved by the board, didn't anyone say "Oi you Lowe no!"
