Are we so used to a manager change...

...virtually on a yearly basis that we now expect it.

Although it doesn't do us any good,I for one look forward to it,but we usually end up with some cheap useless numpty which usually ends up depressing me.

So why am I strangely drawn to this manager merry-go-round,perhaps it's in the hope of landing a gem of a gaffer in a 'keegan (European player of the year) signs for saints' moment.

The internet doesn't help managers these days

After 2 or 3 bad results, fans overload forums like this calling for his head

We're good than. I would LOVE a manager who ONLY has 2-3 bad results. Would be quite an improvement!

Well I think it's certainly true that we need to rid of Wotte. Playing tap-tap pretty footie in L1 will lead us into oblivion. We need to get a gaffer that sets his team up to play 4-4-2 for most games - let's them get used to the system and tactics - uses the wings to play wide and get lots of deep crosses into the box - employs 1 or 2 big experienced target men who can bully defenders without giving away stupid fouls. Easy - but Wotte will not be that man.

Then we can wait while that manager brings in "his" players and adds to the 100+ players that have passed through the team in the past 5 years. The craziness has to end now. It doesn't matter who gets brought in, as the fans will never be happy and will shout for someone else new after a few bad results because we have a forum full of like minded people who will join in with us out of frustration and anger whenever we feel the need to come on and vent about how "we wanted the other guy" or "we never rated this guy anyway".

If more teams tried to play the game instead of resorting to crap thug ball, the games would be a lot more interesting. 4-4-2 isn't going to automatically make players produce the goods, and neither is employing the umpteenth manager.

Wake up pal...this is the football world we live in now, created by the professional footballers themselves due to stupidly high wages in the top two leagues and of course Sky money. The lower leagues are so poor generally that they can only afford 'thugs' (as you put it). If we play kids to try a tip-tappy game in L1 we will be found out very quickly just like we did in the CCC. In fact, probably quicker. It is essential that we match the squad for L1 life to attempt to get out of it or we will continue to plummet - mark my words.
