  1. Armstrong to join the Mighty Ducks, Captain Jack Stephens to get a Peacock subscription to watch the Saturday 3pm kick-offs Peaboat to Saints Am I close?
  2. Alfie House said on Twitter that he knows who it is, and that it's not Ings. Guessing it might be the German kid from Cologne
  3. It's relatively easy to come off well when interviewed by a friendly source, but it is an exciting read. Nice to hear we have budget in place for a striker without needing to sell, and the DOF is working actively on this. I do think Alfie & George do an excellent job with Saints coverage, and hope articles like the above inspire a few more subscriptions for the Daily Echo. Well worth the £2 a month for me
  4. All those who thought Selles would be a decent manager at a higher level will soon find out! Personally think it's a bonkers appointment, but good luck to him (apart from when they play us of course)
  5. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c4grnrg8dy8o Given we're going backwards I doubt we'll profit from this, but good to see there's more opportunity to get up to the top flight from next season. I'm not loving the playoff idea for the bottom club though
  6. Think we're overstating the Dibling homesickness thing. It was three years ago, when he was only 16, and for the money he'd be earning they'd be little difference in moving to Portugal compared to moving to London. After signing he could afford to move his entire family/friendship group with him if he wanted. And if homesickness is still such a big thing in his mind, why hasn't he signed a new contract with us?
  7. Really? Arguably would be much better for him than going to a current PL team. A chance to compete for the league title in a top team whilst developing his game in a league of a lower standard. And the bonus of CL, or at least Europa league football. Seems a great option for him to me. Can't see Porto paying what we want for him though so doubt this would happen
  8. I think (and hope) he'll do well up there tbh. For me he doesn't get enough credit on here for getting us back up at the first time of asking. He inherited a completely broken team, which had a lot of player turnover and got them all playing together. Yes we didn't set the league on fire, but going up through the playoffs was amazing! We all would have taken that outcome at the start of the season, and lots doubted it was possible. Of course the PL was another story... But overall I wish him well
  9. Phew! Following this thread for the last 24 hours had me thinking it was going to be Jamie Vardy!
  10. The one player I felt we shouldn't have sold two years back, or at least should have got more than the reported £30m. Seriously doubt Newcastle will sell him without a huge fee being involved though
  11. Nonsense price. This reeks of the Lavia situation whereby we were apparently looking for peanuts but actually wanted (and got) £60m
  12. It doesn't.... I just wondered why and asked for opinions. Why does that bother you so much?
  13. Why the fcuk has Cleverley shown up at all?? He has no ties with either club, and surely he doesn't believe it would help his chances to be appointed first team manager?
  14. I guess this gets him off our wage bill? If he's learnt a bit from his time with us then not the worst appointment for Leicester. They'll get some hidings though...
  15. How about the fact that he has a greater goals to games ratio for England than Harry Kane?
