One thing to also factor in is that our loss is a net loss after tax etc.. and was a profit before exceptional items and how much did we pay off in transfer fee during that period. If we had similar values in there paid and we have circa £30m more in income this year we will be fine hence the commitments from the club that we will not sell players the manager does not want to. I guess (it is a guess) that if we recoup Osvaldo's fee we may re-invest on other players but may not have a great deal more but we will see come summer.
Completely agree but I'm an eternal optimist and as long as Man City beat Villa tomorrow it's as you were with one less game to go, yes it is disappointing as we had a perfect opportunity to go 6 points clear but it's still in our own hands
I know we lost today and it's obvious that we are not defending that well but every statistic I've seen shows about 8 shots on target for us and 3 to them and even more of difference on off target chances which looks more like a bit of a smash and grab by them
Actually I was wondering the same thing will our players not have a great game in an attempt to impress the new manager and our team at their best can match any team. Also hard for Everton to prepair as they don't know what we will be set up like
I've watched match of the day too and how was that second one on Lallana not a penalty even if he went down soft for the first one MOTD didn't think he particuly did the second was blatent
Have to say my first game of the season I have been to and 1 - 0 down at half time flattered them and we came out second half a gear or two up and Villa had nothing more to give great day and great win.
