You want Aribo to play CM?
-
As I said, when we had players that actually won bear and back post headers they were very effective. Last couple of years we haven't had the likes of Ings winning them. I blame the men in the box not jwp.
-
Perhaps because this '£50m' figure was just one put put by the media and not in fact the actual figure SFC wanted. In reality, we perhaps wanted £60m or £55m and Chelsea are the ones that have got close enough.
-
Genk still interested in Onuachu, but they will want him at a bargain price. Not sure how it will work financially. His wages must be too high for them. Last day of window move I suspect.
-
The Martin pre-match comments tell me that both ABK and Sulemana will depart before this window closes. Che looks likely. Nothing is certain, but you have to be realistic. So, just KWP and Alcaraz left of those that I expected to have Prem interest.
-
Ultimately it will be down to the player. If Palace are an option, he will likely take that. Not sure the JWP deal will fall through. This is why swap deals are rare. Too many moving parts.
-
It's hard to know what to believe, but with Soucek not playing well many fans thought he should be playing more. Moyes stuck with tried and tested, as he so often does. Doesn't mean he doesn't rate Downes I guess, he just likes having Soucek offering that goal threat.
-
He doesn't want to go, Moyes doesn't want him to go. How does this deal happen?
-
You'd think Moyes would have a big say on the make up of his own squad. Sounds like it's out of his hands, which considering their summer signings seems strange (the types he wanted).
-
I would take that article with a pinch of salt. If we offer him a big fat contract he probably won't say no. He will want to progress, earn more and move up. If he thinks we are better positioned than Swansea to do that he will jump at the move now rather than wait another year. That said, how appealing we really are, I don't know.
-
We desperately need a guy that gets in the right position, gets his body position right and just finishes the fucking thing. No excuses. A few from outside the box would be nice too.
-
He's a good player, and that's coming from someone that thought he'd be a good signing last summer, but fantastic is quite strong language. It's a bloody great signing for a championship club, that's for sure.
-
Plenty when we had Ings beating opponents at the near post. A few when we had Vestegaard too. His corners were good, it's the players in the box not doing anything that was the problem
-
What about Charles or Doyle?
-
Cheers. When the club says 'injured and away getting specialised treatment', they mean he ain't turning up for training as he wants out, right?
-
Makes sense to me. Che out, Piroe in. Downes is the better option in midfield should that move be possible.
-
No 'may be' about it. We might be able to loan Onuachi, paying some of his wages, but otherwise we will be stuck with him.
-
City showing that even with the best footballers, being a threat at set pieces is important. Not sure Grimes, Downes and Piroe will help.
-
Unlike us, he'll know what's really happening. Who really wants him, what bids are genuine...I wouldn't worry. He'll be completely calm, and excited on a move to one of the biggest clubs.
-
I saw that, but firstly it could be bollocks and secondly it could be a percent less. Who knows. One things for sure, Chelsea ain't gut any reason to just give us money.
-
They will see that, but they will also see the value of getting us promoted straight away by spending a little. They will be desperate to get promoted. The value of the club trebles overnight if we do. If we don't, you end up bleeding money.
-
You don't have to spend much in this league. Bamba £1m for example would have been great. Strikers like Collins £4m, Piroe £12m, Akpom £8m... No one has any money to spend. We just need to pick the right ones.
-
The livramento deal was £30m rising to £40m. I don't think we will see £32m of that final figure, should it ever be achieved. Chelsea take nearly 50% don't they?
-
I know the counter argument, but this is why buying young talent is better than middle of the road types when you get it right.
