  1. According to the article, we want €8m plus a sizeable sell on percentage, but Lens only want to loan him.
  2. In the championship, Kompany picked him to play CB at the start of the season, but by and large he couldn't get in their side - he started just five times in the last 30 league games. To be fair Maatsen played at left back and he's a damn good player, and they had THB and Beyer at CB, so decent competition. With Maatsen not coming back the following season, in the Prem he seemed to be the only left back in their squad, which might explain why he played regularly. Maybe someone that saw a few Burnley games that season can say how he performed. I got the impression that the passing out from the back game failed because the defenders were not up to it, he being one of those.
  3. Watford need a keeper on loan as Bachmann got injured recently and will miss several months now after having surgery.
  4. Bellingham was playing for the first team at 16 years and 30 odd days and was a little younger when it came to him getting a big move (he joined Dortmund a month after his 17th birthday), but obviously plying his trade in the Championship. In his first season at Dortmund (17-18 years old) he was very impressive and he was playing well in champions league games. I'd say he was slightly more proven, but I dare say if Dibling was playing for a big side this season he'd have no problems performing in the CL too.
  5. Simple. You dont extend any of those guys with one year left. If someone comes in with a decent offer for any of them, you sell and replace with someone that hopefully will be great in the championship and better than the predecessor was in the Prem. They all have a year to impress. Come the end of the year SAA has been great, you give him a new contract, if not, you don't. There is a great opportunity here. We get promoted and have loads of guys not good enough for the Prem out of contract - so you can cut them loose and upgrade. Average players coming to the end of their contracts is a blessing not a problem.
  6. He was garbage in the relegation season and that must have had an impact on the size of the bids we got that summer. He's been much better this season, carrying over the great form he showed last season, but he lacks genuine pace and it gets exposed now and then at this level. Overall though he has been bloody great us and we will miss him when he departs.
  7. Likewise. The abuse he took on here after the United loss (and since) was too harsh IMO. He came on in that game and we went backwards, and of course we lost, but the defeat wasn't his fault. There is a lot of frustration on here, I understand that, but he's only played 283 minutes out of a possible 2070 due to injury. Our issues and measly 6 point tally are not all on him. That said, I'm not a big fan. He has a good touch and his weight of pass is excellent, but there are holes in his game. There are question marks how he fits into a midfield that isn't managed by RM.

    Dom Ballard

Dibling already has the physique to allow him to do what he wants to do. Ballard doesn't, yet. He is actually pretty small and I'm, not sure he has great pace to compensate. In the meantime he's going to be reliant on movement, positioning and chances being created for him. We will need to be more patient.
  9. You've spelled Stephen O'Halloran wrong.
  10. Ah yes my mistake. Despite the shitshow, I thought he held the ball up quite well in the first half. By the way, don't let anyone say you don't bring something special to this forum. 10 posts so far and there have been some gems. Can I suggest you spend less time watching the games and more time developing your posting skills, cos at the moment, you might not be presenting your very best self. 11. totally with you.
  12. Do they need a keeper?
  13. fair point. Therefore I will reprase. I hope he makes more of in impact on the pitch than they did.
  14. He looks confident. Very hard from the video to determine how good a player he is. Pretty impressive for a 17 year old, but no chance he is PL level yet. I guess the question is, is he going to push for a first team place next season or is that too early?
  15. Triffic. Fraser was on the bench, so is next in line. At least you know he will put a shift in. I noticed Archer wasn't on the bench in the Forest game and we had two CBs on the bench, so is he injured? I guess if we played two up front in a 4-4-2 (which we won't) we'd still need a right midfielder, which we don't have. Maybe Sugaware/KWP or Armstrong doing what he does best and that's work up and down the pitch rather than score goals.
  16. Perhaps also another Champsionhip side made a better loan offer, and thus Wednesday had to match that offer.
  17. If he signs, a possibility that we loan him back or out to a championship side, assuming there is interest?
  18. Taylor, Manning, Wellington, Larios. Something has to give. Just imagine if no one signs KWP in the summer and we manage to get him to sign a new deal.
  19. Hope this works out better than Meghoma, Small and Larios investments.
  20. First team has not cut it, but great to see we are investing in young talent. It's no Chelsea-level money, but it's certainly not nothing.
  21. Doesn't surprise me, but as you will know then, it's not really the job of the agent to have the players `welfare at heart', it is their job to maximise the players earnings by negotiating the best contracts and commercial deals, help to get the player a move to another club if his wishes or needs it, while also presenting opportunities/clubs that the player hasn't specfically requested but may choose if they desire. Ultimately, the welfare, performance and longevity of a player will help the earnings potential of the player (and thus the agent), so they won't ignore it, but agents aren't their to hold the players hand, they are there to make them richer. Players dont even need an agent. The PFA can and do provide lawyers to handle contract negotiations if a player so chooses. Players take an agent because they know they will get them a great deal. Despite what you say about your son, and that is commendable, agents also don't actually know if a move will benefit a player in the long term or not. Take Bale or more recently Djed Spense. Both got a massive offer from Spurs to play in the PL. But Bale's move looked like it was a shocker at one point, with Bagpuss looking to offload him to Cardiff until he had an injury crisis...and then the rest was history. Spense's move to Spurs similary looked to be a nightmare, but more recently he has impressed for them. One things for sure, financially the moves made sense for both players - and that is what the agents is responsible for. In Dibling's case, his agent will present the options available. He isnt going to flatly refuse to hear (and pass on) offers from Liverpool because he thinks Dibling might end up in the reserves. The decision on which he takes will be down to the player.
  22. Andy Richie's goal has just came to mind. I hope Rodger fucking Milford stubs his toe every day.
  23. The two halves at Forest show, with our best team we have a fighting chance in games, without him, Dibling, Sulemana and Ramsdale (which might be the case on Saturday) we are absolute fodder.
  24. I agree. Brendon Johnson joined Spurs for £48m and although he had a good season for them before his departed, I think Dibling has been equally impressive while offering a much higher ceiling. Both were/are excellent with th eball at their feet, but Dibling just strikes the ball so well and his weight of pass is bloody lovely.
  25. I am by no means a fan, but if you had watched Ian Andrews play for us, I think you might be a little more forgiving.
