track your fucking runner Perraud.
-
that a lovely turn by Onuachu.
-
playing out from the back a lot. Weight of pass has been good. fuck off ref. Good tackle that from Onuachu
-
four at the back
-
Very good start from us. Some good quality passing. Perraud touch not good enough, allows Chelsea to break and nearly score.
-
Not looking forward to seeing Felix picking us apart. Thought he looked outstanding in the world cup. Not looking forward to this at all.
-
what on earth makes you think we have goals in us?
-
hard to argue with that. I like that the will go for it and take a risk, but he see gaps that really just aren't there and ends up losing it. He's got something, but not enough right now.
-
Can't see it being five at he back. Who is going to play right wing back of that's the case? I fear for us. Got to grab a goal and hang on for grim life
-
to be fair, whatever the lineup, we were just going to be hoping we didn't get embarrassed. Chelsea are on a completely different level to us. If things click they might get a cricket score.

I think when watching a professional game, giving the ref stick while the game is going on is perfectly fine and all part of the game. Once the game is finished, no matter how shit the ref was, I simply can't imagine continuing that abuse outside the ground or online. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour from pathetic mindless people. For players, you can get caught up in the moment, but there are obvious lines you never cross. I argue with refs all the time, but never in a hostile or threatening way. Frustrated, annoyed and maybe even a bit angry, but I honestly can't imagine abusing a ref in any way. It makes me sick reading about refs getting threatened and assaulted. Cunts like that should be banned forever. We will have no refs at all the way things are going. I've thought about reffing for several years, but why would I want to spend a Sunday morning being abused or potentially assaulted by one of these pricks. When it comes to watching kids football, I wouldn't ever say a single thing to a ref from the sidelines, no matter how bad the decision was. Personally, I feel strongly about not saying/shouting anything at all, even encouragement of players. I think parents should have to watch the game from miles away. All they do is create pressure that is not required. Some kids thrive on it, love the encouragement, but for others, it makes the game bigger than it is and they don't get the maximum amount of enjoyment they should. I appreciate others may not share this opinion, but supporting your kids doesn't require you to be screaming things across the pitch. The parent coaching from the sidelines is mental and any parent that is abusive or hostile to opponents or refs are just fucking dicks and need to take a good long look at themselves.

So, Bazball then. I can only think of one `Brendan' in the football management world, and I think Southampton FC are probably one of those written down in his `weakest link envelope'.
-
amen. The fans that rue his departure can not have travelled to the Burnley or Brentford games at the end of last season. Absolute shit shows. And they were two of many.

I think our difference in opinion relates only to the amount of blame the players should carry. I think more than they are getting, but I guess the focus is always going to be on Jones this weekend. Let's see how they do next weekend. Jones can't be blamed, so this `good squad' won't be hamstrung and they will show us all what they can do.

Anyone would be better than Puel...no, not you Pellegrino. Anyone would be better than Pellegrino...no, not you Hughes. Anyone would be better than Katherina Liebherr...no, not you Gao. Anyone would be better than Gao...no, not you Sports Republic. Anyone would be better than McCarthy...no, not you Bazunu. Anyone would be better than Ralph...no, not you Jones. Anyone would be better than Jones...

this is the kind of content I come here for.

Wolves went 4-2-3 in the second half and our central midfield were completely outplayed by Neves (who is a gem of a player) et al. People can moan about Jones all day, but JWP, Alcaraz and Lavia failed to get hold of the game and run it. They may have ability, there may be much worse players in our squad, but our midfielder went completely missing. I'd add to that, that the individual talent in the Wolves side exceeds our own. They have some very good technical players. We hussled and harried and earned our lead, but when we got tired, their quality had the space it needed to hurt us. We just don't have enough quality of our own and our tactics/shape/system isn't good enough to hide our inadequacies. We've been relegation fodder all season. Both managers haven't helped one iota, but the squad isn't a good one.

Do we? Everyone has the prettiest wife at home.

no lack of desire, its quality that is the problem IMO.

If Leeds can only attract Steve Bruce, then what are we going to come up with?
-
when we went down in 2005 we only had Crouch that anyone really wanted. We sold a few others Niemi/SKP for buttons, but there wasn't exactly a mad rush to take McCann, Van Damme and Jakobsson off our hands. The same will apply with the 2023 vintage. We have a couple of gems, Lavia is the right mix of youth and ability, but the idea that Prem sides will rush to buy loads of our players is wishful thinking and the other leagues can't afford to pay the likes of Djenepo £60k a week or whatever. We are going to be stuck with a lot of these guys. Expect lots of loans with us paying half the wages. The parachute payments wont cover all the remaining wages and the debt is going to rise very quickly.

It's amazing how many good players we have, performing well, yet we keep losing. By and large the consensus is that AMN did OK and Bazunu didn't do a lot wrong. So that would mean using your assessment of the others, the only starter that played badly was Bednarek. Perhaps Archers Road Stand is right, some fans favourites aren't actually that good and ought to be critiqued a little more.
-
and perhaps worst of them all, Stephen O'Halloran, all be it he only played once, but that was more than enough.
