Norwich had/created some fantastic chances in the first half against Liverpool and could easily have been in front. Pukka missed a glorious chance with lots of time to pick his spot. We need to be on the money again. It's far from an easy game. Unlike Everton, I don't think they will fade after 15 minutes.

Wonder how much of the £70m loan we have spent during the COIVD period on operating costs (or is there any left in our bank account as available cash), and thus how much money we will need to find over the next X years in terms of income/profit and the effect that has on our decision making/available transfer funds?

I am not fussed one iota that he doesn't get his head up and pass square more often. I don't want a striker that passes the buck and looks to put it on plate for a team mate when the shot is on. Far too many chances are wasted by selfless players that don't get that square pass right. Half the occasions yesterday when he perhaps could have passed may have looked easy from the stand, but when you have only a split second to make the decision, have to keep your eye on the ball and their are bodies everywhere, it's much harder. I'd much prefer he just kept it simple, take responsibility and shoot. Hope this apparent `weakness' in terms of lack of vision puts Chelsea off....but it won't because he offers pace, power, skill, hold up play, work rate and goals. What a brilliant set of attributes.

Easy to say 'get you head up' from the stand, but harder to do when you are dribbling at full pelt in the final third and your focus is on making space for a shot. Also, when you pass in the box there is a chance it is cut out, poorly weighted or inaccurate. The number of times strikers make the right decision, and make that square pass, but the execution is poor... Is his passing any good? If not, he's better off being greedy.

Can we keep it up? Is this the new norm? It's taken us a very long time to be fluid and get a run of results and form going. Is it possible to continue the way we have been for an equally long period? We've got the right players in the right positions. Everyone fit and everyone confident. I guess we need that to continue.

Very good point. We've not just won games, we have played extremely well too, creating so many chances and playing some greta football. We have also not relied on luck defensively. We have been organised and got a lot of bodies behind the ball. We also haven't left defenders exposed. Great balance between attack and defence. Long may this continue. Lets win the cup and see where we get to in the league.

56% possession and 19 shots to 9 reflects the dominance. i thought Everton were a real problem early on. They pressed hard and we had no time and struggled control the game. Boy did that change. Once again Romeu was an absolute rock in midfield, holding the ball just that little bit longer to enable players to get into space, but then never losing it when under pressure. I get a lot of Jimmy Case vibes, but without the long shooting ability. He's probably a far better player. He really is in top form. Same can be said about KWP. He could play at the very top level IMO.

I remember Everton doing that in the centenary game in 1985 at the Dell and they won 2-3. Since then I dreaded seeing teams switch - we always seemed to struggle. Not sure we have had an issue at SMS though.

maybe we are talking about different chances, but for me you want your striker shooting when you get in the penalty box. I actually want my striker to be greedy
