After their battering at the weekend I messaged him to say - not to worry we just binned our manager so you'll be in with a shout - his reply was "if you can play without a goalkeeper that might give us a chance". A mate out on a corporate Golf Day in a 4 ball with a couple of chaps he didn’t know, he hit just that shot off the Tee and uttered that well used description as the ball scampered hopping and skipping down the fairway laughing as he did so. Walking down the fairway his mate turned to him and said “you do realise Jon we are playing with is Sally Gunnells husband!” 😁
