I have already thought that the Scottish FA has more balls than our English equivalent. But I guess there's not the same money available to 'grease palms' eh?

Looks like people power has made Tesco change its mind! http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2012/feb/18/tesco-jobless-scheme-work-experience

Bloke on BBC Breakfast just now saying this time PFC have got a 'proper' administrator who knows what he's doing
-
Exactly - this from the BBC Sports page@ And, although Pompey are set to be docked 10 points for going into administation, they could lose further points at the discretion of the Football League as a result of it happening for the second time in such a short period of time.

Well, Tony Husband's been on but no-one else - unless they're going back to it? Edit - he's back on

The world and his wife must be voting I think - the Talksport site is taking an age to load

Who / how will this latest administration to be funded?
-
Wasn't it Mrs Justice Mann?

My esteemed MP has chosen to ignore my email to him 2 weeks ago. He is also the Prime Minister

My daughter will performing at a festival on the Island, but in August. Can't remember what it's called. She'll be 8 months pregnant, so that should be a laugh!

Apparently Sainsburys have now withdrawn from this scheme. Today I successfully persuaded my SiL that they should no longer shop at Tescos. When I explained the situation he was horrified. One convert at least!

I infer from this that the FL is covering its back in the event that a) it decides to not impose a points deduction because 'poor Portsmouth - it wasn't the fault of the fans and players' (err - gentle reminder - your ex Head of Integrity or whatever he was, was CEO at the time Antonov appeared on the scene) or b) someone, somewhere attempts to sue the FL for failure to undertake its duties diligently or c) because the FL is worried about the club being the first one in the higher divisions to be liquidated.

I often wonder why there isn't a law that says, when a company (of any description) goes into administration, it can't be then bought out of administration by the people who put it into administration - even if it's a new company. What's to stop people doing this time and again, each time getting the same asset for less money but enjoying whatever rewards the new company might bring (although in Poopey's case the rewards are neglible).

Better late than never! http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/feb/13/portsmouth-administration-tax-bill and this bit made me laugh (from the Guardian's Fiver) He has changed the fortunes of every club he has been at" - Sir Alex Ferguson pays homage to 'Arry Redknapp with the kind of tribute fans of serial administration merchants Portsmouth and relegated-from-the-Premier League-after-27-years Southampton are sure to agree. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/feb/10/football-the-fiver-england-redknapp-capello

I'm just thankful it's half term and I dont have to look after my grandson as I normally do on a Friday. It usually takes me an hour to catch up on this thread on a Friday night - imagine how long it would take this Friday!

The Q & A on Rangers on the BBC website is quite informative, albeit the situation is somewhat different http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-17018226 And, with regard to insolvency, this bit perhaps clears up one point about what insolvency actually is. A company that can't pay its bills on time is insolvent, even if it's worth a lot in assets.

I noticed that there were a number of 'voluntary creditors liquidations' - is it as simple as it seems? That all PFC's creditors can join together to force liquidation?
-
I know it's Scotland, but I guess the same conditions will apply? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17019291 The Scottish Premier League has confirmed Rangers will only be deducted 10 points from its tally when it actually appoints administrators.
-
Can any of the creditors object to this? And if so would another administrator be appointed? And by whom?
-
Celtic are in the poo a bit too http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-17009960
-
I was wondering that too. Or can anyone else try to stop it?
