I loathe the adverts all the betting companies put out on Sky.

Sadly not as P starts a night shift tomorrow. However, we've spent a happy couple of days looking after the GKs and last night my daughters and their men treated us to a sumptuous meal at a pub I'd recommend to anyone who is in the Amersham / High Wycombe area. It's called the Old Queens Head in Tylers Green. Probably the best meal we've had in yonks

^^^ I don't know if it's the same children, but I read on the BBC news website that two children (who were right next to one person when that person was killed) couldn't speak for a couple of hours because of shock. I dread to think what sort of long-lasting impact that'll have on those children. I don't know if it's an age thing, but I get far more upset these days by things like this. And when children are hurt / abused / killed, I get quite distressed. But then I seem to worry about the dangers my grandchildren might face more than I ever did when my children were little. I don't know if that's mild hysteria caused by greater knowledge via the media or, as I say, just an 'age' thing.
