There are figures for the blm protests but nothing accurate about the illegal migrant protests. Those figures are complete hearsay and “running into the millions” is pure speculation. If I presented that you would laugh me out the room. There were over 13 times more arrests at the illegal migrant protests than blm so you would need to find a stat which supports an incredibly high number of attendees at the illegal migrant protests to bring the arrest levels on par

So if you want to be demeaning towards a group of people (I’m not saying they shouldn’t integrate by the way) it’s ok because they are all like that and it’s a “fact” in your eyes. 1. I’ve told you there aren’t comparable figures for attending the protests. It means there could have been more at either. It doesn’t invalidate it (it may in your mind cause your looking for any chink) as I have given alternative measures for assessing the level of crime / violence at each compared to arrests which is a better barometer. 2. The report is the police response to the 2024 summer disorder - google it. I’ve taken stats from that. The conclusions of the report are no two tier policing but the vast majority of evidence that informed the conclusion is from the same police chiefs under fire so I question the independence of that conclusion and whether it actually tested the conduct of the very organisation being accused of two tier policing. A closed shop if you ask me. They weren’t even asked why the arrests were so high in the illegal migrant protests but lower for the blm protests for example. Real scrutiny! 3. Taking a couple of examples, academia and the bbc have a high proportion of people with left wing political views. It’s the nature of people they attract. On the face of it they aren’t “politically” influenced but the people running them have their own political views which influence the approach those institutions take. Govenrment reviews on the bbc have indicated that there is a lack of impartiality due to “uninformed groupthink” In terms of having a disproportionate number of left wingers, you gov surveys of academics have indicated that circa 53% are left leaning, 35% are neutral and 9% are conservative. Policy exchange research has come to the same conclusions.

Let’s assume I did, which I’m not saying is the reason. Your logic would be flawed and you have made a terrible point. I would have gone to another country invited, passed through border control, integrated myself into local society and culture and paid tax. Completely different. I find it disrespectful that people come here and dont integrate into Uk culture because I’ve have out of respect to the relevant host countries. I didn’t create my own little England when I went there, which some people do when they come here from other countries. What you have completely failed to understand is people don’t have a problem with people that take this approach when coming to the Uk. People have issue with people that don’t do this. No wonder you have the views of people like me that you do as you have misunderstood the concerns Let me ask - do you think that people should integrate into Uk culture and society when they come here from abroad?

The numbers aren’t quoted. Could have been more BLM protesters or more illegal migrant protesters. The assault numbers on police gives an indication to the level of disorder versus arrests which is a better measure and it’s disproportionate to the illegal migrant protests. Government fact. You keep saying that each case needs to be tested individually before a trend can be demonstrated across a wide sample (which is scientifically unsound). In fact researchers tests differences specifically across large samples so that they can control anomalies therefore if a medical report came back with a 1,000 people dead from lung cancer ans 750 of them smoked, would you say there was a trend or that each case should be individually assessed before a trend could be identified that smoking caused lung cancer?

If 1,000’people dies of lung cancer and 750 smokes would you say that you need to check each case individually before you can say there is a trend?

I understand how sentencing works but it doesn’t address the point being made. I’m talking about the massive difference in policing and arrests before you get to sentencing. Around 135 arrests across 360 blm protests compared with 1,804 across 250 illegal migrant protests. What objectively explains this. Nobody has answered this huge disparity.

The stats prove a significant and marked jump in arrests for lesser protests by illegal migrant protesters. Youre justification is a perceived threat which means this radical jump in arrests is justified. I don’t think your explanation gets close to covering it. Hence why the police are being accused of being two tier.
