  1. Indeed. And a view the vast majority of us share.
  2. It's a fact that when the German armoured divisions neared Paris - the Mayor & other officials raced out to meet them & pleaded with them not to shell Paris - thereby preventing the destruction of the city. And it worked too.
  3. Feck me - we could've easily sold 4,000 tickets for this game I reckon!
  4. Probably to ask Nigel Pearson if we can have Matt Oakley back...
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/table/default.stm
  6. Hands-up to having called the French "frogs" in the past (the shame of it) - but my reasons were justified in that I was having major problems with my Citroen at the time...or 'Sh1troen' as my mechanic says.
  7. I still keep in touch with a good mate of mine from Birmingham who I served with on HMS Cardiff back in the mid-80s. Smashing fella. He's black - and his nickname was (and still is) 'Snowy'. Never ever a "problem". It's a 'Forces thing'.
  8. Indeed. I guess it all depends on age, background, etc. Having worked on HM Ships for many years (a long time ago now) - everyone from Scotland was called 'Jock', everyone from N. Ireland 'Paddy', 'Taff' from Wales & so on. It wasn't offensive to anyone & no one ever took offence to my knowledge. Not sure if it's still the case these days? Over to you TDD!
  9. Damn. I voted UKIP at the last election. Guess I'll go more moderate next time and vote BNP...
  10. It's a bit rich for Peter Hain to be saying anything! He was the first person to resign from Gordon Brown's cabinet. Peter Hain's campaign failed to declare £103,156 of donations, contrary to electoral law. Another pig with his snout in the trough & yet another sleazy politician running the country at the time.
  11. "Uncomfortable" would be a better choice of word...
  12. Actually he said
  13. Indeed - and a spot-on assessment of last night's debate as it happens. Dimbleby didn't do himself any favours whatsoever & looked a complete numpty at the end. I thought he was more bias infact than anyone else - audience or panel! Of all the final questions he could have taken - he chose some half-wit who asked "Has tonight been an early Christmas present for the BNP"! Sums the night up really.
  14. Agree entirely with that.
  15. Not forgetting this current on-going case of course: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8318370.stm
  16. He certainly got a fair crack of the whip. Glad he was on. I guess people will make up their own minds about the views of the BNP. I find myself agreeing with a little of what they say - but well done to the BBC anyway for sticking to their guns & not bowing to pressure from other Lords/MP's who said he shouldn't appear whatever.
  17. Guess I was expecting more...I dunno - fireworks I guess.
  18. I though Question Time tonight was quite possibly the most over-hyped non-event of the year so far to be honest. Griffin kinda blew his one big chance in the main & I don't think the BBC will have him back on anytime soon. Much ado about nothing really. I'd be far more interested in what Jaquie Smith has to say next week when questioned on Parliamentary expenses!!! Now that's gonna be a hoot!
  19. An even par I'd say.
  20. Benny Hill is more coherent than Nick Griffin!
  21. Nice to see Jack Straw being as wimpy & spineless as ever then... lol - Jacquie Smith next week. Did you know we've all paid for her old man to knock one out via smutty cable channels?
  22. Indeed he did.
  23. Why are those protesting outside the BBC all un-washed crusties & gobby little students?
  24. True - and that's my point. Look out for the 'staunch, happy-clapping' from the BNP supporters in the audience. And likewise - the "ooh - look at me. Can I have the camera on me to show the watching millions that I'm the biggest anti-BNP protester in the country' brigade. Dimbleby will have his work cut-out tonight - whilst Jack Straw will send me to sleep - like he always does...
