I knew a bloke many years ago (in the age of steam) who threw himself onto the tracks. He was chuffed to bits. * Yep - I'll get me coat...
-
Well who's getting fooled exactly? Nigel Farage talks a lot of sense. I don't agree with every single thing the bloke says (the same could be said for any politician or political party that I've voted for in 30+ years) - but the guy makes a bloody good case on a number of important issues. UKIP didn't gain as many seats as they did in the recent Euro elections from 'fooling people'. They did it because people listened to them & actually cared about what they were saying.

lol - the old "I'm right and you're all wrong" ploy...
-
...and a very large proportion of the country's electorate. We can't all be wrong...or fooled...or ignorant of the facts.
-
Evey time I hear Farage speak - the bloke talks lots of sense to me. I don't just mean tonight's QT (although most - not all - of what he said made perfect sense!) - but over the last couple of years in general I find myself agreeing with the bloke. Can't remember the last time I thought that of any politician! Griffin next week should be a hoot. Can't see that gutless little dweeb Jack Straw giving him a hard time - but others will. And Jacquie Smith the following week too!!! Thanks BBC for making thursday nights entertaining!
-
Nigel Farage should be running the country tbf.

Indeed - I suffered the same experience back in the long hot summer of '76 at Lee-on-Solent beach! A weird year that. There were 'balls' of them eveywhere - the size of a football...literally!!! Millions of the little critters. I love them in my garden now. Infact - I don't get enough of them chewing & eating the pesky little aphids alive! Great little helpers. If the OP can manage to capture them - I'll pop round later & take them off your hands!

Exactly echoes what the missus says. She gets grief (even though she's a front-of-shop FSS) because Joe Public think they're one and the same!
-
My missus works at a large Post Office & has done for years. She was saying the other day that the postman that collects all the mail sacks from her PO several times a day now have to scan themselves upon arrival - so that their bosses can see time of pick-up/exit. Before this new scheme - Mr Postie would have a cuppa, smoke several fags & gossip away for half an hour! This has angered Mr Postie obviously & is one of the reasons why they're not happy with these 'new' working arrangements!
-
Good. Just checking that you all had remembered.
