Ah, my mistake Jaime/Brett. I thought you were making a sarcastic comment about Russia’s timing of the invasion and it being telegraphed to the rest of the world beforehand. I didn’t realise you were being serious.  You clearly have more knowledge about these things than I do, it’s is just that if you want to launch a successful invasion it seems to me that an element of surprise is helpful, you know, like D Day. Surely arranging a full scale invasion of another country to coincide with it catching the major news services in the west can only give the defending forces a heads up? Or doesn't it work like that anymore?

what the hell are you prattling on about?

Really..! If you spend 90 million quid in the January transfer window alone, you really should be staying up at a very bare minimum...!!!

We nearly went down spending that much!

Is it me or has "Russia is going to invade in the next few days" been going on for about a month now?

Surely if it was going to happen it would have happened by now. Invaded Ukraine makes little sense, giving everyone a month's notice makes even less sense.

That is how it works.  Russia will invade at a time that suits the Western audience.

Can anyone explain how XG is calculated? i see that we had an XG of 0.74 yesterday compared with >2.5 for them?

To be fair, Forster made some smart saves, one brilliant in particular.  Perraud cleared one from the line.

How do you manage to come to that conclusion Delldays/Batman when much of the criticism of this Government is levelled at its constant inability to deal with ineptitude from the level of PM downwards? Her resignation was hastened by a left leaning a mayor and yet the only uproar as far as I can see came from Priti Patel herself - probably because she realised how ineffectual that made her look.

You'd blame the Conservatives / Boris Johnson if you used your credit card on a heavy weekend in Skegness.

Perhaps you should address that remark to Priti Patel? Instead the Home Secretary actually extended her contract.

I could imagine the outrage had the Govt binned her.  You would have been livid, claiming cover up and such like.
