Evening, firstly if in the wrong forum I apologise and will move it. Just wondering if anyone got a £100 fine for parking at the mosque for Norwich game (12th Aug)? Apparently 35 cars got fined as they now have cameras and they weren’t switched off for the match. The mosque has asked for the fines to be waived although my appeal was rejected 😠 Anyway I think they are trying to get them cancelled so if you did get fined or know someone who did they don’t think paying up just yet is the best idea.

Exactly, drives me f****** mad watching him after every goal, as if he hasn’t realised it is actually his job to stop his man scoring in his goal!! Surely it must drive our managers potty too!!

This is how I saw it. Could have put a stamp on the game but didn’t. I thought his first touch was poor in several situations in the first half and he didn’t influence the game, until space started to open up in the second half and he came into it little more.

Who did they give MoM too? For me Smallbone was head and shoulders over everyone today. Stephens as captain looks a bad decision as not sure he is good enough for a title challenging starting 11. Worrying thing he is the better half of the Chuckle brothers. Charlie looked poor today but tried hard, but Charles when he came on really added something. Starting 11 with Charles and Che as per second half with a new centre back and I think it would be a strong side in this division. However any injuries / suspensions, not sure of the backups. Very entertaining game, thought we played well in second half (except of course when they countered as looked like scoring every time) and another late goal to hopefully demonstrate good team spirit. If we can sort couple of defenders (CB and LB) there is some promise for the season.

Personally I’m not that disappointed: 1. we knew that team put out was rubbish as we saw it last couple of seasons. Now RM knows it too so let’s judge him on what he does next (if he doesn’t shake that squad up then I’ll be the first to judge). 2. I don’t care about that cup, much prefer a good league campaign. The next couple of league games and the transfer window will be much more meaningful than our 2nd string away in this fixture.

I get the result is the be-all and end-all, but the way we played last night gave us a great chance to win the game. Not comparing us to Man City but the total possession game they play does not guarantee them victory but gives them a great chance, plus is miles better to watch than the recent football we have played that has made our eyes bleed. So to answer your point if (and when as it will happen) if we lost, then I would have been gutted, but yes I would have seen more positives than negatives and would praise what RM is trying to achieve.

I am sorry but I really don’t understand this. Did you enjoy the football of the last few years over the style last night? As a new team / style, the players did brilliantly IMO. The reason we walked around for the 9 minutes of stoppage time was they were completely shattered from chasing us while we had all the possession and simply could not press us to get the ball back. Recent seasons when we took a narrow lead into stoppage time we all expected to either draw or even lose the game. While we have possession they can’t lump it forward and get corners / free kicks, where we all recognise is our weakness. Only my opinion of course, but I would take this style of football over any of the dross we have served up in recent seasons, albeit in a lower division where we can hopefully use this style of play to be successful.

Got to take Alcaraz off. He’s done his knee, can’t believe he is still on. And I did think it was red as could have really hurt the Leicester player.

Rather than worry about the state of our side, we all need to take a good look at ourselves and ask how has our social life got so bad on a Saturday evening to be watching this junk!!

I know football is all about opinions and we all would choose different starting line-ups and formations, but what percentage of us would play Bednarek?? I think it would be such a low number, almost zero. To cheer us up we should have a sweepstake what minute his first major f*** up will be in!

Jones is so bad (no relative of mine!) my usual trick of betting against Saints and then losing didn’t even work!! Let’s remember some of our best times we have had was in the Championship, so let’s take a little time and look to replace him with someone that will bring us success next year. IMO, not everyone’s cup of tea but a shame we didn’t get Dyche.

It is the lack of energy and desire that I cannot understand. Against Chelsea we were such an energetic side but here we are so lethargic. It is like the team are happy to drift through the 90 mins until the inevitable defeat (hoping to jinx that statement!)

The thing for me is that any manager that believes that Valery, Stephens and Bednarek are the defenders we need to make us hard to beat and push us up the table, I struggle to have faith in.
