Just saving all the goals for Ipswich hopefully. Mind you, I'd happily settle for another goal like Kendall's. John Boy Saint's sum up of the keeper's body language is just right. No chance. I noticed Man City also had a weakened team out, due to injuries, againt Chelsea. Just the 11 internationals and 5 more on the bench. 🙂 They had a couple of excellent chances, but were well beaten.

I thought that they'd go for a manager with a focus and experience to keep them up. That's not to say Howe can't, but it didn't end well at B'Mouth. When they started looking, perhaps they thought they'd have more points on the board. And that Howe would be a person for the first phase of developing the club. More, if he's successful. But parting ways for a bigger name, if they felt Howe had hit a ceiling.

Not that I think Villa will go down. But if they did, and his pay gets cut as part of a contract clause, I wonder if he'd be on less than Saints were offering. And a division lower down.

Great first half Villa could have had a couple of players shown red cards. Ralph changed it round when Villa were clearly getting on top. Solid subs to shore it up at key moments. Team all worked their socks off, and for each other to. It was a narrow win, goals wise but Saints were miles clear 1st half and, after a change were solid. Some really impressive displays all through the team.
