They'd be waking up in the middle of the night giggling for weeks after that.

Or to put it another way - the players that the last fuck-knows-how-many managers have brought in.

The important thing here is that they've all scored goals at this level at some point in the increasingly distant past. Get Adam Armstrong a penalty and he's going to put it away. If Archer goal hangs enough he's bound to tuck away a couple. As for BBD - I think we can all see the kind of free scoring footballer that's lurking beneath the surface. Throw in a newbie from the Bundesliga 2 and it's about as potent a strikeforce as you could want at this level if you're trying to build towards turning Saints into a European powerhouse. If we can do a couple of stats searches and choose some youngsters with high stats that don't cost much I reckon this could be the save game to end all save games.

Our proven Championship strikeforce continues to fail to find the back of the net.

Downes natural urge to stop and pass back is utterly infuriating
-
Johansson should be retroactively sent off for that.

Why take Charles off when Downes is a liability.

I think it's clear that Martin is navigating a tricky start to life up north. One thing is for certain is that the dressing room is on his side, even if they've been on the end of some tough love in his post match interviews. He's only one emphatic win against St Mirren away from getting the fans back on side. Throw in a stirring comeback against Bruges and Rangers will be sitting pretty for their first Old Firm game this season. Worth noting that everyone had bumps into in Glasgow has been really supportive.

We've missed a defensive attacking midfielder since Elyounnoussi left
