Sorry to shout but TONY WAS NOT A RED!

In all seriousness i do have Tory friends( not many) but we choose not to talk about politics especially when drunk, i moved here because it has a very interesting football scene, i had always found the people ok on holidays previously, always had an interest in the language and many other things. As i said there are things i don't like e.g bullfighting but then again 90% of the Spaniards i meet don't like it either, their tax system is up to them but i vote for the party that would raise substantially taxes on the ricg.

just die ****

What musings? List them and i´ll answer them, simple
-
well done, nice way of admitting defeat in a discussion
-
You obviously haven´t read my post and are just an obnoxious knob, don´t respond to any of my posts
-
Inflation did reach 20% in 1980 after a conservative budget that raised VAT from 8 per cent to 15%, I have looked mush and you´ll have to guide me on this one because i cannot find any constituencies in major cities up north with electorates of less than 60,000, As for the West lothian question you could have a point, the answer is an English assembly maybe?
-
Not another Tory numptie, i can´t keep up with 4 or 5 of you i will open another thread in the lounge
-
I think somebody has got into my account, give em their due funny
-
Good,i´m glad the bubble has burst,it will make housing more affordable
-
Yeah i like the sun, the food and lots of other things about Spain, there are also things i don´t like. What has the Franco dictatorship have to do with anything? That ended 35 years ago. Me thinks you´re clutching at straws.
-
I think you´ll find Mush, the massaging of the jobless figures didn´t start until after 1979, Yes inflation did reach 26 per cent in the summer of 1975 but it was down to 8.9 per cent by 1979 and rose again under Thatcher to over 20 per cent in 1980, so what is your point. Healy did go to the IMF but only because of poor treasury forecasting of the public sector borrowing requirement. The IMF loan wasn´t needed in the event and payed off quickly. When have i said i love the Labour government? I wish you lot would read more carefully. General Franco was a right wing Fascist, closer to your politics than mine, so i don´t know why you put that in.. I am a member of the Izquierda Unida a grouping of Spanish Left wing parties Why did you make that up about the numbers in a constituency? The average is about 60 to 65000. they are all much the same except for a few rural exceptions
-
I´m sorry but no i can´t see the hypocrisy, i have the same problem with the Partido popular here in Spain, i just hate Tories, Sorry
-
Can you please stop calling New Labour Socialist, they are not and never have been. 1, What would you have done to ease the crisis? Sat on your hands 2, I agree the bankers have got off scott free and i would like to see them punished 3, You still have this problem with me living here in Spain, i can live where i like and have an opinion on what i want 4, For the last time i do not support New Labour they are too right wing and like your bunch of incompetant fools for my liking.
-
Where do you get off on calling me a racist? I am probably the least racist person you´ll meet. At least you´re honest saying ´I will be better off under a Tory government´, if i lived there i probably would be as well but i have this strange thing called a social conscience. I think that you will find as well that the Conservative party has more than it´s fair share of racists
-
Not at all they are as culpable as the Tories for continuing with this mad economic model. I just can't forgive the Conservative party for setting the wheels in motion all those years ago.
-
A forum poster gets called a **** and is told he is worse than his clubs biggest rivals because he votes Tory. That has really got to you hasn't it? For your info it wasn't me who said it, i just agreed. I'm sorry but i really don't like the Tory Party and what it stands for, can you give me reasons for your membership of the said party apart from ' i don't like Gordon Brown'
-
Well said mate, i should have just said the same.
-
They have every right to, but this period of unemployment was not caused by the government directly, it was caused by the failure of the neo liberal Laissez Faire system that our economic system is governed by. What do you think the unemployment figures would be if the government hadn't intervened during the crisis? The unemployment of the 80's was deliberate government policy to subjugate the workers and unions.
-
So your saying that because i haven't retired and that i hold a Socialist viewpoint that i have no right to broaden my horizons, live in another country, learn another language and other cultures. I work here so therefore pay taxes here, i have never heard so much ******** in my life. Get a grip mush
-
Why would you say that? I never said i was a new Labour supporter, just that i had an immense dislike for the Tory party and all it stands for. You don't half tie yourself up in knots eh nipper? As i can deduce from your posts you are still a nipper.

I agree that this government have not been half as good as i imagined on that wonderful May 1997 morning when finally the country woke up kick that corrupt rabble out. Unfortunately for me and many others this government proved themselves to be almost a corrupt as their predecessors,I didnt realise at the time that Tony Blair and co we just out to feather their nests as well. All i'm saying is since the Tories broke with the consensus in 1979 this country has changed and unfortunately we can't go back.
