No...... He has the energy and commitment but not the outright ability and craft to be a good defender. It's why he's never played there before, he would be sent off in the first five minutes.

Well, as someone who didn't like the older games (clunky controls, a real caricature of a protagonist), i'm quite enjoying it!

There's been a complete franchise reboot. A new game has been released just this week! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Square-Enix-Tomb-Raider-Xbox/dp/B0051NNWGU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1362600880&sr=8-2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomb_Raider_(2013_video_game)

On the basis of the excellent reviews I've decided to give this franchise reboot a go. Played a little so far last night and have been rather impressed. Excellent atmosphere, good level layout and nice characterisation of Lara Croft. Anyone else given it a go?

On a sixpence these things can turn. Man Utd need two goals with a man down.
-
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Modric.

Well, at least now the accusation's of referee bias towards the home side at Old Trafford now have a legitimate counter-point.

Are you full of eels?

lol @ Nani. That will be the sum total of my insight for the evening.
-
Well, yes!
-
They are being ok for a partisan production.
-
If only he was a little stronger, great skill in his legs though.
-
Vegard Forren has scored. Unmarked at the back post and volleys it home.
-
Strong team. Looking forward to seeing how Forren, Target and Sinclair perform.
-
Outstanding. Cheers.

Am I right in thinking Liverpool TV is a free channel?

Sorry to dredge up an old discussion but i've just seen this response. I am not arguing that Nicola Cortese hasn't put his own money in, he never had the wherewithal to do that. It is utterly indisputable that Leibherr's money wouldn't have gone into the club with Cortese's initial recommendation of Southampton FC and his ongoing commitment to manage the 'project' on Leibherr's behalf. The two were totally linked, they came in as either a pair or not at all. It wasn't just Leibherr's money that saved us, Nicola's commitment to the job also did. The initial statement which I shall post again to prevent further referral back to page one really is quite explicit.

Except when using the Skate Takeover Saga thread, of course!
-
Agreed. Come on Nicola, pay the man, he earned it.
-
Yep. Without Guly's tracking back he is more then likely to be overwhelmed. Lallana is a better footballer but cannot provide cover in the same way, it's just not a strength of his.
-
Especially as inviting a young player to join Chelsea's academy is as futile a gesture for their long term prospects as asking the skates to honour a payment schedule.

Now, the dry mouth effect you've described. I get that from White. Much prefer a good Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. White wine just reminds me of vinegar.

A great read. Enjoyed that. Interesting that the weaknesses described at Espanyol when things went wrong, vulnerability from set pieces, inability to hold possession also happened to us under Nigel Adkins during our poor patch. He must be here knowing that the main issue he experienced in his past role, lack of investment in the team, will not be a factor. His system needs a certain type of player, a certain degree of quality to work. If the players truly have that quality then we can look forward with optimism.

Wenger has obviously spoilt the look. As for Pochettino, he should go the whole hog. Raid the Saintsfc store for all it's worth, only wear club merchandise. Live the brand, live the club. Saints bedding and lunchboxes, even branded pencil sharpeners. If he wants to be taken seriously in his attempts to adapt to life in england he must not leave any item untouched. And yes, I even include the branded golf tees.
