Relegated to National with us last year, only to get their asses saved in Ligue 2 by The Football Financial Regulators who relegated Bordeaux to National 2 (4th level) instead. People argue that Valenciennes FC would have sustained the same faith w/o SR take over, but what's the difference ? They are slowly taking us there. Fuck SR and fuck the multi-club ownership model. BUT they performed a massive turnaround, managed to stay up and are doing quite well nowadays (3rd position in Ligue 2).They have a 10M budget, about what we have ... but in the 3rd league. Another club nearby, US Boulogne Co, has the smallest budget in 3rd league and they are also pointing at 3rd position...where we are supposed to be. Shows you that money isn't everything, it does help but you need a management with a brain. And so far SRs have shown themselves to be retards.

What the difference between SR and Eddy Zdziech ? One is taking us to the cliff faster than the other ! They both put up a merde show! the team was constipated under Zdziech, it now has diarrhea under SR! We were in ligue 2 with a tiny glimmer of hope at the beginning of each season and the youth teams were doing quite well under the 'dictator'. Now everything is crap. Look at the way SR manages Southampton FC for Pete's sake!

You know what I like about SR ? NOTHING! SR are just a bunch of $h!theads. They sacked the manager at Valenciennes FC about 2 weeks ago and still haven't named a replacement. Meanwhile, we are treading water right in the middle of the table, 8 points behind the leader w/ the first budget in the league. We will very likely play another season in the 3rd division next year. The youth teams are dreadful as well. I miss our previous awful owner, at least he kept us in league 2 with more hope than I ever had under SR.

Absolutely, I never believed I would get to regret ourprevious owner, with whom the A team used to linger in Ligue 2, BUT our youth teams were keeping their ground and performing well. Now the B and U19 are also bottom of their respective tables. The dreaded Rasmus' touch I guess.

When you look at city group they are not doing all at well either in Europe (except for City itself). Lommel SK has been lingering in Belgium 2nd division; Troyes FC got relegated to the French 3rd level (just like Valenciennes FC, coincidence ?), only to get saved at the last minute thanks for Bordeaux financial demise; now they are seating bottom of the table, very likely to join Valenciennes FC next year ... I don't understand this multi club ownership model, if it is supposed to mimic the farming model baseball franchises established in the US then it is failing miserably. SR is burning money with VA FC (~10M Euro budget, with almost no revenues). Making them look like philanthropists.
