David Le Frapper takes us back to the late 80s, before Bosman ruling where many players were born in Valenciennes (or nearby) and promoted through the youth training squads. They were not the most technical players around but they had a strong work ethic. It was a real joy to go watch them, even though we spent most seasons in the lower division. DLF scored the goal in the last game of season to secure promotion to top league in 1992 . Those were the days... Now most of the players come from Paris suburbs, that only care about $$$ with little to no work ethic, (see Joachim Kayi Sanda and alike). I wish him the best, but today's players are not the ones he used to play with...

How is that the guy, Godin, who has been supervising this disaster since day one, has fired everybody but himself ? Many blame Godin, but I blame SR even more: If you hire a moron and keep him in charge for 4 years with constant failure then you are a moron yourself . SR/Godin have to go; I don't care where the club restarts from; multi propriety club model is a scam for feeder clubs like Valenciennes is aiming to be. Meanwhile, Stephane Moulin, our previous coach that SR/Godin sacked in favor of Pierre Blois ("The new Tonda Eckert" © ChristopheVAFC, July 2026) is now 3rd in the league with one of the smallest budget in history. Thinking of it, SR and Godin are setting quite a trend here: They also sacked Vincent Hognon the previous year, who ended up promoting Sochaux to Ligue 2 last season. How about sacking Godin and the SR crowd instead ? It is getting worse as years go by ever since they took over. SR is nothing more that Shit Raw for us.

SR has already spent more than 40M euros on us since 2023. So, in the multi-club model, SR is our sugar daddy and SFC our sugar mommy.

A true club enthusiast, he leaves behind a wonderful legacy and many fond memories for all who knew him, particularly the U19 National team this season, with whom he reached the quarterfinals of the championship. Having arrived last season, Yann Lecocq contributed to the daily work and development of the U17 National group who finished fourth in their championship. What is it to be so joyful about a win on the pitch ? All it does is extend SR tenure. The sooner this collapses, the sooner these MOFO will get the f out. The only one that gives a glimmer of hope was not of their own choosing: They put the B team coach Blois in charge in a panic move when your BFF Godin's first choice bailed out. Same pattern at SFC after sacking Still. This tells me that they don't know what they are doing, There first choices always fail years after years, and they just happened to get lucky twice after running out of options.
