Die hard Saints fan since early 1980 - after a (televised) 1-1 draw at Anfield, Phil Boyer giving us the lead, but unfortunately Ian Rush equalised.
Went to The Dell for the first time in 1985, Easter, and watched Saints 1 - Everton (title winners) 2.
Saints missed a penalty created by George Lawrence (deliberate handball on the goal line by an Everton defender, which would of course have cost a straight red card these days. It didn't back then).
I think it was David Armstrong who missed the pen. Joe Jordan got us the 1-2 consolation goal.

Physician. Father of three sons who are in their twenties. Live in Copenhagen, Denmark. Member of Saints earning me the right to require tickets and have watched many matches at St. Mary's, more often than not accompanied by my three sons.
Most memorable match: 8-0 vs Sunderland, which I watched together with fellow physician and friend, Richard, who is a diabetes specialist/consultant in Southampton.

Been to one away game, the 3-1 win vs Palace on Boxing Day 2014.

Saints Play streaming season ticket holder since last season, so watched all matches available to me in our promotion season 🏆

Greatful listener of - among other Saints podcasts - The Total Saints Podcast (Martin Starke, Steve Grant, Glen de la Cour, Alfie House).
