Surely no lap of honour at the end though with the play offs still to come we'll have another home game

Unfortunately not was relying on the 2024 Leeds game for that particular moment

i don't think Saints have even spent a minute in the top 2 all season have we?, would be hilarious if we got a late goal at Preston to get into it , not going to happen though. Anyone know the odds on Saints to beat Ipswich and Preston and also Ipswich / Millwall failing to beat QPR / Oxford? Must be 100/1 surely

I remember 2012 when all Man City had to do was win at home to QPR to win the league, very nearly didn't until Aguero popped up in stoppage time, but yes that scenario of a comfortable Ipswich win is overwhelming favourite if they need it (I.e dont beat us already)

Games like this, beating Arsenal and our play off final win have been brilliant for instilling a sense of pride in supporting Saints for the next generation of youngsters growing up, they're bombarded with brainwashing about the "big 6" whether its from glory hunters at school, football youtubers, sky TV, playing FIFA on the Xbox etc, walking down the steps seeing a sea of 36,000 proud Saints fans , wonderful sight . We had three generations of family with us on Saturday some of which were at Wembley in 76 , nice moment to have.

That's what I meant 6th place being the last play off place. Got a feeling Derby will get it.

No i think even if we beat Ipswich they are still likely to beat Millwall to 2nd place, they would just need to win at home to QPR

As Millwall or Ipswich just need to win their easy last home games it doesn't really feel like a big game anymore, SKY will probably want a Saints win to add to perceived drama of last day, as relegation places are already decided they'd just be left with the three way battle for 6th place At least we dont have the distraction of the FA Cup anymore , full steam ahead in the league Prediction 1-1

We'll struggle to find any team in the Championship to take him unfortunately, needs a move and a complete reset in league one to regain some confidence, still actually quite young for a goalkeeper

Yes which is actually a bit of a shame for the ladies team, it was two fixtures each year where they got decent crowds and helped raise their profile a bit. Saints will be disappointed to have missed the top three in a rare season where promotion was more achievable thanks to extra places

Out of the 4 semi finalists we took the largest following, Leeds had 34k today, we had 36k yesterday 👏

Wonderful that we have a Financial Fair Play Cup final, great moment.

Wrexham defeat at Coventry today, so they really need a win vs Middlesbrough next Saturday, may help us in quest for 4th

Its great, easier to watch from here

Classic Ally McCoist reaction to our goal , love the footage of our end as well

Not ideal, but im certainly not going to believe all the posts on there. As for kids, there's a little glory hunting shit who turns up to my kids training each week in a City kit, clearly been given poor guidance by his parents but if he pipes up at all this week they’ll be getting the full treatment

Just read that whole thread, absolutely comedy gold, especially matey crying cause his Mrs got called fat in McDonald's, must be on a wind up, would take most of their stories with a huge pinch of salt. But overall you can see how triggered they are, they know our crowd outshone their pathetic support and have taken to the Internet to have a good old winge being bullied off the pitch, resorting to the usual 'Pompey fans are better' nonsense. Perhaps they were expecting us to give them a guard of honour on Wembley Way. Pleased that despite the result some of them had their day out spoilt 👍

Loads of positive comments about our team / support from people I know who follow other clubs who watched on tv, certainly good for the image of the club. One opinion I heard post match , this cup run was the best tribute to the boys of 76 and did the 'special' kit justice, we never really needed the 'legends' game at St Mary's, this cup run was enough and will be well remembered

I was in the ground for a good ten minutes after the final whistle, you could see the lift the players got from appreciation received from the fans, really good , Wembley obviously thought we wanted to hear from one of Man City's players broadcasting post match interview over the speakers but that was completely drowned out by Saints singing https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DepeD95uv/

I'd say all the players can hold their heads high, gave it everything and thats all we can ask from them

I think Bragg has been a great addition to the first team squad this season, showed some very composed performances in big matches, hope Scotland take him to the world cup

I've not really looked on social media since the game but would be great to see more pics and videos of our end, i really hate how the corporate club wembley tier cuts through our support, as expected loads of that was left empty

That's the worry isn't it. We don't go up , players and possibly even manager leave, we're back to square one
