Ticket releases for August and Portsmouth games?
Football Special replied to Ekimr's topic in The Saints
I think the club overestimated the demand for this game. In reality tickets are expensive (unnecessary to make it category A*) and it's logistically a pain for a lot of fans to get to , midday on a sunday with no trains. If you bought a £30 membership and a ticket in block 29 next to away fans for £55 + £1.50 ticket tax that's a huge amount to pay out for a game that's on itv. Last I heard there was still over 1000 tickets remaining nearly all either side of away end -
I have no idea, but Romeu loved living here and was often out on long walks with his dog along South Downs , I think he'd be perfect short term signing to add experience and good influence within the dressing room
-
I suspect you are right but the idea of buying a ticket and not bothering to use it seems mad to me, at least offer to give it away to someone Only about 150 left out of the 2,022 allocation

Norwich in the cup now on open general sale, only about 150 left, impressive sales for that one considering the competition -
Stewart was so shocked being named in the starting line up at Northampton he ran straight to the bogs to throw up

Was it Puel who said Redmond could be next Theirry Henry? And JWP the next Beckham? Maybe I dreamt that

Of course there is, most successful championship teams have a couple of top loans
-
True. We scored a lot of goals as a team , Che Adams was a good partner for Armstrong, held the ball and made space for him

Agree with you Derry. It is also worth noting that the football God's dictate that a Saints v Stoke league fixture at St Mary's usually finishes as a 0-1 defeat so we must allow for that. Nov 2015 - Saints 0v1 Stoke May 2017 - Saints 0v1 Stoke March 2018 ‐ Saints 0v0 Stoke April 2024 - Saints 0v1 Stoke Just scoring against them would be nice.

I agree, I think we did fairly well completely some sales early enough. Money in for Sulemana, Onuacho and Bednarek all with sizeable wages off the books and Ramsdale loan completed with some money in to cover what we need to pay to Arsenal. Shame Aribo, Edozie deals are dragging, seems like the club are not making any attempt to keep them

Hull City away goes on sale to season ticket holders with no aways at 9.30am this morning, still some available for those who haven't had a chance to get to an away game yet this season -
Apparently it's the PRIDE parade and festival in town on Saturday, no doubt several cruise ships in port as well, worth allowing a bit more time if driving in
-
Still loads left in blocks next to away fans, (Chapel block 20 and Kingsland block 29) , interesting Stoke have taken the smaller allocation of 2400 (which they won't sell out) , 600 less than the full allocation, in theory would be nice if Saints can reopen block 28 for home fans but doubt we'll find out if that's possible if home end isn't sold out anyway. https://www.stokecityfc.com/news/2025/august/13/ticket-information-southampton/

Yes textbook, also been hoping we'll sign their goalkeeper, Johansson very good player, he's bound to have a blinder. Will be an interesting game. We don't tend to do very well at home to Stoke in the league
-
We are not very good.

Can't complain with a point away at Ipswich so will take that. However neither side were great (expect that was the best time to play them) Overall opinion from start of this season - I think it will be open and fans of other clubs should be excited, "parachute payment" clubs look nothing special. Good chance for a Stoke, Middlesbrough, Coventry etc to stake a claim for promotion
-
It's quite sad isn't it, how many tickets do we need to sell just to pay his weekly wage? Such a waste of resources Gone from Germany world cup squad to working from home spending his days watching Bargain Hunt
-
I agree with you, don't rate our forward line and not sure where the goals will come from.

We are , details are confirmed, I actually think Norwich is a good place to visit for couple of days, some great pubs in the city centre not far from the ground, tempted to head up there if I can sort with work https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/norwich-city-vs-southampton

It's very very early but some interesting signs emerging Sheffield United made it three defeats in a week losing 1-0 at Swansea with zero shots on target. Selles already has his work cut out there and I'm sure they'll improve but poor start for a team tipped to be in contention for promotion

Football shirt equivalent of an attention seeking Facebook post desperately looking for likes

Not sure I'd go that far, but bad enough not to get carried away with our win against them
-
Two defeats in a matter of days as the Fortress, nice to see....but they really should have got at least a point there. Norwich collapsed and Skates had opportunities to score a few times
