  1. I'd welcome him, reckon he'd do a job , score vs the skates and do the golf club swing in front of the away end. Plus his Dads law firm can represent Tonda at FA hearing on mate's rates
  2. Solidarity Brother* ✊🏿 Say it loud, Say it clear, Sports Republics multi-club ownership model not welcome here *or sister or of course non-binary, delete as appropriate
  3. Fair summary , can't disagree with any of that. Villa need to pay well over the odds for THB to make up for us doing likewise with Dobbin
  4. They are one of those annoying clubs who seem very good at picking up players for little or no transfer fee, bet Dobbin cost more than any of their players. No doubt they'll be another side who will leave a few challenges on Scienza early on. Femi Azeez always looks an exciting player when I've seen him. Fans need to do our bit, Millwall will make plenty of noise.
  5. Last year of his contract isn't it? I don't think West Ham will get much of a transfer fee on that basis
  6. That's the contradiction isn't it, we played more first team players than West Ham but we also looked disinterested. Scienza took his goal well but I worry he's slowly morphing into Ryan Fraser (both in appearance and dribbling style)
  7. Millwall look excellent at the moment, I think they could be this seasons "Coventry", settled side who failed in the play offs but ready to hit the ground running Very comfortable wins so far away to Bristol City and home to Norwich. They won away to Cambridge in the cup last night despite making 10 changes Big challenge for Tonda to set us up in a way to compete, I'd take a draw if offered now 3,008 sold out away end coming down, still loads available in the Saints end
  8. Apparently Saturday games the players arrive in their cars, eat at the stadium etc , for some reason midweek games they prepare at the hotel and travel on coach together to the ground, not sure why
  9. Certainly seems odd, we're missing him big time, Bragg seems a good lad but didnt get a look in tonight
  10. Yeah over the 90 minutes the gulf in class was alarming. No midfield presence they just brushed us off the ball and took control. Defence was very poor. End of the day West Ham (players and fans) just looked like they wanted it more , no complaints with the score
  11. Just playing hard to get
  12. Yep, local independent business runs it as well, money much better spent
  13. Interesting viewpoint, having a look now and ticket sales look very slow for the Pompey game , been on sale a week and other than Northam wall doesn't look like that many sold, particularly either side of away end, think midday Sunday people just can't be arsed with it at such an expense.
  14. For Ramsdale I was told last year that Newcastle fully covered his wages and the loan fee covered our installment to Arsenal for that season so that at least recouped 1/4 of the transfer fee.
  15. Yeah I wont even try to understand it, its a uefa thing over 3 year period? I've seen mention they need to win our net spend trophy to bring them back into line but makes no sense compared to what some other teams have spent especially with income from high Prem finish and winning Europa league
  16. Clearly they are hoping we fold and accept their bid by panicking they are going for the other mush instead Don't fall for it Saints
  17. Please DM @Turkish for more details , I believe he's looking to take advantage of Southampton Pride being on this weekend to redirect their march to the Ted Bates statue and boost our numbers
  18. Agree nice to hear perspective and he seemed like a sound fella, but West Ham fans are ALWAYS moaning, they moaned about David Moyes not being good enough for them after delivering a European trophy, their expectations are well out of sync with the reality, that said I thought he over-played the issues they have - i still fancy them for a top two finish.
  19. Very good point, I think they do that due to the tv cameras being in the Kingsland so hope the crowd looks better for the tv audience who can't see the 6000 empty seats along the perimeter
  20. Usually a multi choice option for all the games on, no build up or pundits, makes the ticket prices even more mental - 3 home games in a week - carabao corrupt cup where draw is fixed in favour of teams in Europe - £25 ticket plus £2 ticket tax PER ticket £27 - reserve line up , George Long in goal , likely defeat - available to watch on TV All that considered a 10k plus attendance should be applauded
  21. We still owe a chunk of the original transfer fee to Man City (£10M?) so i think we really need to hold out for a decent profit to be able to re-invest it
  22. Weird thing with Edozie is his agent has tried to get him a move over last few windows and it just hasnt worked out for him, would be a nice bonus if he can go and have a good season for us now.
  23. Agree, stats can be even more misleading when adding in Adam Armstrong (did he finished as our league top scorer last season despite leaving in January?!) Just feels to me that we're missing some of the crucial match winning players , need others to step up, reliance on Larin an issue if he gets injured
  24. It does feel that way, what % of our goals last season were scored by players no longer here (or leaving) , must be quite high between Stewart, Charles,THB, plus Jander being unavailable probably for another week at least, thats some key players missing. In regards to Scienza, Watford players cynically set out to injure him in the first half last week, he took a battering, if teams take that approach for now and double up on him we need to make the most of the space that creates for other players.
  25. Its mindbogging, proper piss take of a bid, we might as well reply with a £15M bid for Watkins just to make a point. This and the Benfica offer that was clearly never going to be accepted just feel like a public attempt to unsettle the player as they'd have known no chance of these bids working.
