As futile as it is, I think I'd take that

I notice Chelsea at home goes on open general sale this morning, think that might be the first time this season a game has made it to this stage for non-members to buy. Seems a bit short-sighted by the club to not restrict it to purchase history as there's loads of Hampshire based Chelsea who could end up in the home end. Just a heads up if any non-members were looking to buy https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/southampton-vs-chelsea-24-25

Yep had that edge back, turn of pace and can carry the ball, wish he'd sign that contract extension, top player
-
Completely agree, probably not surprising when people on here during the game don't have the outlet of shouting or singing to release, thought it was good in the ground generally today, mostly positive around me and made a decent noise at times, nice seeing Martin finally getting to approach THE WALL for a final whistle celebration https://www.facebook.com/share/v/15Az6HJaht/

Next week we play away to Winless Wolves, huge pressure on them to beat us, expect they will but an interesting game, having beaten Stoke and Everton this week there will be a positive vibe around the club

I don't think he says anything particularly bad , remember context of answers depends on question he's received , trying to remain positive https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/24694299.every-word-southamptons-martin-said-ahead-facing-everton/

Think it was that game and the thought of Millwall on a European tour that lead them to scraping European qualification for FA Cup losing finalists where the winning side had already qualified via the league.
-
You'd hope so, just before Christmas, I can't see huge demand considering our bad form, expect the real winners will be the half and half scarf sellers.
-
That was an awful night, in fact still have PTSD from both 1/4 finals Koeman got to in this comp, Spurs at home the Sunday night before so this will be Wednesday 18th Dec
-
There's been plenty of others, Wigan, Birmingham both won cups and relegated in same year then played in Europe as championship club

Last couple of mins at Man City there was a decent cross to him at the back post. Would love Tall Paul to get on the score sheet, will it ever happen?
-
Do we have scouts? Bet it's all based on data, no one actually watching them play
-
He's excited this gives us another chance to draw Man City, exhibit his philosophy and bathe in the compliments of Pep

"Smile lads, you're now one of the top 8 teams in the country*" *in the carabao cup
-
You and I both know that we struggled, however the stats say 78% possession which looks like complete domination
-
I'm sensing not too much excitement for tonight's draw?
-
I like James Bree, hard working player, joined us from Luton at the request of Nathan Jones which obviously didn't turn out to be such a great move for him but he gets his head down and never complains, has shown he can do a job for us when given a chance Cornet on the other hand reminded me of Ali Dia
-
Stoke had just 22% possession and yet nearly won the game, if the goal line clearance had gone in I don't think we'd have come back, would have been the ultimate Martin loss. But luck was on our side, Bree saved the day , could be a turning point?
-
Worrying throwing away a 2 goal lead again and some of the players looked particularly poor (Cornet and big Les main culprits) but still nice to walk out of St Mary's having seen a win, makes a nice change. Shame there's no potential draws left that we can win in the next round
-
Out of interest what % chance of survival do you give us? I'd realistically say it's down to 5% chance and we're as good as down already
-
That's what I've heard, impression within the club is Martin has been assured he has the support of the board, could be dreaded vote of confidence but in this case I think they really do plan to stick with him Does seem baffling , who knows we'll look back end of the season and wonder what all the fuss was about

What about if we lose at home tonight v Stoke reserves ?
