Glasgow Rangers fans seem to be getting excited at the potential prospect of Brooks signing for them.
Bizarrely, Brooks has been quoted as saying he would play for Brent for life.
What an odd thing to say.
He appears to have succumbed to the cult.
Possible typo in that last sentence….-

That's the sort of completely random name which could have some substance to it......

I would be very unsurprised if we were being used by Downs’ representatives to get a better contract out of Cologne.
He holds all the cards with just one year left on his contract.
I assume Spors has other back-up options.

Simpletons on Twitter have got very excited at a private plane landing at Southampton airport from Girona and immediately have become etect at either Oriol Romeu returning, or Miovski signing - despite the fact, a straightforward Google search shows him on international duty. 😂
England fans coming back from yesterday’s game?

I hope the Shankland rumours are unfounded,he is not good enough even on a free transfer. Cannot believe we are not interested in Rudoni or Sainz or Sargent.
Sargent has been linked with following Farke to Leeds.

As many of you will sadly know, Elijah Khaira was tragically taken far too young in the summer.
It would be wonderful if our fans could pay tribute to him at Saturday's game in the 20th minute.
Please spread the word; it would mean the world to his family and friends.
Thank you.

Don’t understand why the club don’t announce the rough numbers in each category for these types of games. Would save people trying to guess.
They have enough difficulty keeping the number of away game credits up to date as it is.
Cardiff hasn’t been added yet, and won’t be until overnight tonight. I rang the ticket office to query this earlier on.

It'll be less than that as a certain amount is reserved for players' family/friends.
Oh yeah, I remember the West Brom away play-off game, when they seemed to have a large proportion of one whole block reserved…
More reason to sell a few more players over the next couple of days…

Glad they’ve started it high, means there won’t be a scramble tomorrow morning for me. Will imagine it’ll go a fair bit lower though. Brentford went to 12 I think, and that allocation was only 400 more.
Doubt it will go lower than 17 aways TBH.
-
I heard we sold around 2,500 for last night's game, but there were only around 1,700 there.
So clearly a lot of people seeing it as a cheap game to get an extra credit.....
-
Generally they will set the first threshold of aways at a level such that it will always go to the second threshold.
Which means that there will be less than 1,300 fans on 18+ aways.
But I suspect not that many less, would guess there is between 1,000 and 1,200.

Alfred House at the Echo seems to be hinting at some interest in Manning.
This could surely only be from Goztepe or Valenciennes…https://x.com/alfiehouseecho/status/1829078351442546872?s=46&t=_0WF3xmOPMkvDJN1bRNQcA

Similar to the THB fee.
Surely worth it? C'mon Razzy-baby, make it happen.
Aye.
But we would presumably have to go north by a few million for Arsenal to accept it.
Arsenal know that Wolves are not the only club keen on him.
I think that if we could get a loan with an option to buy for £25 million next summer if and only if we stay up, we should be absolutely all-in for that.

Wolves' move for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is off.
The deal for the 26-year-old has proved too expensive for the Premier League side and it is considered over, BBC Sport understands.
Wolves had made a loan offer with an option to buy, for around £20m, for the England international last week and remained in talks with the Gunners over the weekend.
____
Unless Arsenal drop their demands on deadline day, he isn't coming here
But that's pretty much the deal we did for Ings 6 years ago.
Surely a few million on top of that (£25m fee if we stay up) wouldn't be unreasonable.....

After the ABK medical leak debacle, I would guess he would not want to even mention Bijlow has been here for a medical in case he fails it (or more accurately, the results are not to the management's satisfiction). There might even be a possibility that we may want to change the terms of deal depending on those results...and as we know to our cost, the deal could easily fall through.
Ramsdale still seems to be a bit of a fallback option.
Albeit expensive.
It could be that if we end up with Ramsdale, it prevents a signing in a more attacking part of the pitch.

Every position has been carefully thought through so far. I really can’t see us not bothering with a striker. I reckon we have a striker on loan set up already. A “ let’s see who’s available in the last 24 hours of the window, if there’s no one wing it until January “ plan doesn’t fit in with how we’ve played it so far.
while we are at it I cannot see Ramsdale going to any other club than Saints. He has a lot of connections here and will be perfectly used to playing it out from the back.Im going to get shit whatever I say so I still see Matt O’Riley as a goer again loads of connections with the club and there are rumblings of discontent amongst the Celtic fans about Kyogo, O’Riley , Hatate and Johnstone leaving so Celtic board have got to put on a show about that lot going.
in fact if we don’t sort a striker out I’m straight on the phone to Dragan Solak.
If we are getting a striker in on loan, then we would have to be buying Ramsdale outright (assuming it is Ramsdale and not the Feyenoord keeper).
Can anybody really see us spending more than £25 million to sign Ramsdale??
