if he had bought 4 or 5 players into the squad in his first seven days it could easliy have been deemed panic buying, depending on who they were of course. Id be more worried if AP had done nothing at all and came out saying that we are stuck with what we have.

yep agree, I think City will finish above Arsenal, even if they replace Ade and Toure. But with the amount of players at city, how long before players start to moan about not playing.

they have sooo many players now but are still some way off liverpool, man utd and chelsea imo

Do me a favour, go back and re-read your previous posts and think about the timescales in question as well as the years of carp we have had and how long, realistically it is going to take to rebuild. Have you also given thought to the fact we are on -10, in L1? How do you know that we havent already approached players only to be turned down?

i am behaving :-) Yes i want to see a competitive side but im not stupid enough to think that its going to happen in 7 days! Yes, people are slating AP by saying... "AP has been here a week and a half and in that time we have signed Harding (who is an unknown) we have no backroom staff and no significant signings." Back at you with the opinion bit, if people really want to moan about this then at least they can expect people to counter it with common sense

No, both sides do not have valid points. How can anyone seriously moan about the lack of activity after just 7 working days in charge? the9 was merely saying that if you want everything instant, go and support Man U. Its going to take time to rebuild Saints.

Carberry has hit form at the right time. Why is cricket the ONLY sport in which the best team isnt selected. In football, players get called up who are playing well. I guess this was one of the fears with the central contracts.

so in 7 working days you expect the whole team to be totally transformed do you? Yes, we are bottom of the league in terms of prep but thats hardly AP fault. If you are looking for blame then i suggest you look no further than Pinnacle, without their time wasting we would have been well on the way to being set. Honestly, some people on here will just moan for the sake of moaning and will never be happy.

shah - not for me, too many chances in the past and has issues with cramp Key - would still rather have carberry Hildreth and Trott - both good players and would want to see them play for England before long. I like Bell, especially his fielding at silly point, where he is far better then anyone else we have. Just worries me that with Bopara we will be very weak if the top 2 get out cheaply
