If Kenny was in a mind to buy, Lambert would tick all sorts of boxes for the current Liverpool set-up. He's British, scores goals, and would probably be available for less than 35M

Irrespective of the validity of the tweet in question, I think people are fooling themselves if they believe that Lambert will never go anywhere. My personal hope is that he finishes his career with Saints and becomes forever associated with his success here, but other clubs will be taking a look at him, 29 or not. And why not? Top scorer in each division he has played in, effortlessly made the step up to NPC. If we get through today with Lambert still in the team, I will be a very happy man. This is my expectation, but lets not kid ourselves into believing that deadline day madness doesn't occur. The one really positive thing I hear locally (Liverpool) is that Kenny is not looking to do any further business.
