  1. Can't help but feel disappointed for Lambert if it's true he isn't starting. Horses for courses and all that, but this guy deserves to start in our first game back.
  2. Just realised it's on Sky 3D. Maybe that feature of my TV will finally be put to good use!
  3. Have just invested in a Google Nexus 7 as my iPad 1's slowness started bothering me after playing with the in-laws iPad 3. I am in America at the moment and the 8GB tablet set me back $199 (£135ish). Think they start at £169 back home. Mine came with $25 credit to buy apps with and Transformers 3 preloaded. Easily outperforms it's price. Its likely the phone and new tablet will both keep me happy for a while!
  4. ifunbox is also good for getting stuff off an iphone
  5. I am not usually one for this type of thread, but this week I purchased a Huawei G300 handset for £99 at Tesco. The handset is fantastic. If anyone is looking for a cheap mobile, I strongly recommend it. 1GHz processor (same speed as iPhone 4), officially upgradeable to Android ICS, 4" screen, 5MP camera with flash and not unattractive in design IMO. It comes locked to Vodafone, but it's £4.99 to unlock using a service on eBay. Got the unlock code within 2 business hours. My reason for purchasing was that I spent a fair amount upgrading my computer and needed to make up for it - so decided to cash in on my iPhone and buy a cheap handset to get me through to my next upgrade. Expectations have been exceeded. ... and no, I don't work for them!
  6. Now two left - willing to call it £15.
  7. Have 3 spare grandstand and paddock tickets for the evening races on Saturday. Face value £12 each, will take £25 for the 3. Can paypal and post, or meet in Soton.
  8. Snooker loopy, nuts are we, me and him and them and me, We'll show you what we can do with a load of balls and a snooker cue. Pot the reds, then screw back, for the yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black. Snooker loopy, nuts are we, we're all snooker loopy.
  9. I am glad they did this to be fair.
  10. I was disheartened and thought it was a fake when I read the text in red down the middle of the shirt "All supporting for Japan"... turns out this is actually a feature of Japan's kit!
  11. I got me one of these: http://bestkitshop.com/2012-13-japan-home-shirt.html Fair enough by the time it came through it was £18 including getting 19 printed on the front and LEE 19 on the back, but well worth it and it turned out to be genuine (must have been straight out of the sweat shop). Took 2 weeks to arrive. I love it.
  12. Finally shipped, only took 3 months! XBMC on an SD card, XBMC remote on my iPhone... lets hope this plan comes together without me feeling the need to stamp on it.
  13. It looks pretty reasonable to be fair... http://giffgaff.com/index/pricing Calling USA or Canada Landline and Mobile (charged in per minute increments) 8p per minute Texts 8p per text Picture messages (MMS) 24p per MMS I am off to the states next month and want to do the opposite with my iPhone 4, any ideas on which ones will give me decent data and cheap texts/calls back home?
  14. You can jailbreak, but unlocking via the Jailbreak can't be done yet. You will need to wait for that to be released - could be weeks I'm afraid. Looks like Orange are your best bet. It isn't possible to downgrade through iTunes either.
  15. The unlock for that came out over the weekend but only works on certain basebands (another thing to check in settings), will send you the links just in case...
  16. Which firmware do you have on it (under settings>about or something similar from memory)? Most older versions of the iPhone can be unlocked using ultrasn0w, but you will need to jailbreak it first to facilitate the installation of the ultrasn0w hack. It's not as good as a carrier unlock by Orange/the Apple store - as if you update your phone's software it wipes the unlock. However, it is free, which is better than not free... Suppose the simple solution is to not update your phone afterwards! Let me know and I will search out/pm you the simplest guide I can find.
  17. It's well worth a go. Saw it as a game of chicken. Worst case was I would call and ask to stay, but with BT Visison offering sky sports 1+2 plus ESPN for £30ish... as a new premiership fan, thought it a powerful bargaining tool.
  18. Just want to add to this thread. I called three weeks ago as my missus fell foul of the British Gas cull. Now have 12 months with entertainment, HD and Sports for £32 per month, with no minimum term contract. Will use that no minimum term contract to argue that they should let me have ESPN for free once the televised fixtures come out. Well worth chancing your arm. I didn't even need to threaten Virgin or BTvision for the offer. Wish I had done it earlier as paid full whack for 4 years...
  19. United - not a lot felt better than beating them, was nice being a pain in Fergie's ar$e.
  20. Originally wanted Blackpool to come up, until the first leg of their semi final. Then I saw all of the empty seats and thought... compared to West Ham....
  21. Norwich didn't do too badly in picking up Huddersfield's best player from last season...
  22. That Marquee looked a lot bigger on Twitter on Sunday
  23. Take her to the Common for a romantic in-car date
  24. I bet on Saints in my pre season promotion accumulator before the season started - 5/1. Swindon have done their part. Now if MK Dons would kindly win the L1 playoffs, I will be £550 better off.
  25. +1 for this.... Or for an easier way (with a user interface), once installed, go to: Start > all programs > get_iplayer > web pvr manager This loads an iPlayer window, where you can search for programs and once located, click the record button to start the download.
