Indeed but the France-Belgium game was equally packed with wayward shooting.

Beginning to wonder if the balls they’re using for the tournament are difficult to curl onto or get down on to the target. So many shots from so many players being skied over and well wide.

You get the distinct impression that some of these players detest one another.

So many key players off form.

There must be a problem in the camp. This tournament performance smacks of serious divisions in the team.

They’re ruining football by over complicating the intra-game governance. VAR should not be used to forensically analyse every aspect of play looking for technical fouls.
