So far I'd describe him as unfulfilled potential. Far too often players look down the line for him making a run but he's come inside and short for a pass to feet. Too often he turns away from goal to pass backwards or infield instead of taking it down the line, even when there's space ahead of him. For a pacy attacking winger with a decent cross on him, he doesn't play all that different to someone like Ward Prowse would playing on the left wing.

Buendia, if we can get him for £15million or less (which admittedly is very unlikely).

Fact is if he wasn't our player and we were linked with him, everyone would be optimistic about his signing.

All the providers seem to have a huge hard on for close up shots of players noses or the manager sat staring at the action we should be watching instead of actually showing us what's going on. Still at least they've moved on from the absurd replays that were slowed down about 100 times when HD first came about just to show off how clear the picture is.

That's a long time after the season starts to still be vulnerable to people picking off our players.

I don't believe for a second that it's due to Ralph being able to get his message across, St Mary's hasn't been loud enough for that to be an issue for one and for another even if it was, it's the same for both managers. If the players can't enact a tactical plan without being talked through it for the entire 90 minutes then we have an issue there.

Saints posted on Facebook that he's been involved in 5 goals in his last 6 appearances with 2 goals and 3 assists. I've seen a fair few people saying we should be looking to replace him on the right wing next season and I don't really understand why, he's been a brilliant signing for us and for me would be ahead of Redmond in the "wingers" pecking order due to the fact he actually consistently contributes. Would be interested to see him lining up just behind Ings to play off him and run beyond him.

It definitely has the feel of the Bertrand deal about it, undervalued and underrated by a bigger side who want a more "complete" player at that age.

Except Carrillo was doing it in a weaker league and at a much more experienced age. I agree he probably wouldn't be getting that exact sort of return, but he would easily be the 10+ goal a season back up striker we require IMO.

How many teams outside the top 6 have a 20 goal a season striker AND plenty of goals throughout the team? Armstrong and Ward Prowse have contributed a decent amount, Redmond has some work to do but could contribute if he actually attacked the defence more and kept his shots down, and Djenepo has shown he can score from range and in the box. Another word on Obafemi....he's played a total of 615 minutes this season which is just under 7 full games, and has 3 goals. That equates to somewhere between 15 and 20 goals a season if he was first choice alongside Ings...

Always liked him, would have no issues at all with us utilising him as a Hojberg replacement - however if he isn't going to extend his contract and let's face it you could understand why, then we should cash in and try to get £15million or more for him from a promoted side or even from a championship team with money to spare.
