  1. You're probably right, a lot of men's professional teams and a few amateur teams would win. Now we've got that out the way, either continue to watch it knowing what it is or just don't bother, thanks. Two really good goals for England, they look much better playing (shock) a natural CB at CB and a left footed player at LB.
  2. Sad isn't it really. I also feel bad for him looking at the reaction from the fans all over social media, can't be nice for him or his family but...it isn't unexpected.
  3. Yeah my post isn't meant as a criticism. I get the sense from Still that his style of play doesn't rely on a main man and we should see goals from all over the forward line and midfield.
  4. I get the sense he hasn't been brought in to bang in a load of goals next season so hope nobody is expecting 20+. I reckon 10-13.
  5. I wouldn't put Stephens committment level the same as Frannies. I've seen him bottle challenges and make no effort to get back plenty of times.
  6. FFS.
  7. Players with pace AND end product are rarer than people think and usually end up at the top clubs. To get pace in the side for a club like Saints you buy players like Sulemana and Edozie who people on here are quite happy to see the back of.
  8. Both playing in the German 2nd tier last season, I'm yet to be convinced of this. "Got what we need" isn't a bad attitude to have - it saves us money which we can use when/if we are promoted instead of spending it on players now who may never be better than Championship level anyway.
  9. Just read that we rejected a £19million bid for THB from Porto, guessing the only reason we're turning that down is because City will get a large percentage of it?
  10. Four new signings in quick succession and a new manager. Hopefully the overhaul will work out well and we'll take advantage of the extra promotion spot.
  11. Because goal scoring becomes a habit and banging in 25 next season in the Championship may be better for him than getting 4 or 5 at a lower Prem team.
  12. How would you feel about a tall striker who is good in the air and links up well, who is experienced and has 92 goals in 177 games in his career?
  13. Watch him bang in 20 league goals and knock an English team out of the Champions League this season. Thank god we got him off our books before we reaped the benefit of putting up with him struggling whilst developing.
  14. It's just under 7million, even at Championship level that's not a huge amount of money.
  15. Back to back league one and championship doesn't happen as often as people think. Think we underestimate just how much we achieved with what we did. Edit - it's only happened 5 times since the premier League was introduced.
  16. Introduced by Still to the rest of the squad as a new addition alongside Josh Quarshie and involved in first team training. Doesn't seem like someone they're planning on getting rid of.
  17. I keep forgetting that Kuryu Matsuki is a part of the squad. Complete unknown quantity to me but clearly deemed good enough.
  18. I think we'll be disappointed if we're looking for 20 goals from this lad.
  19. Are you using a VPN? Maybe try disabling it while on the site if so.
  20. Never agreed with that assessment of him as he'd been given the chance of solid consistent playing time and was 27 when we signed him. With Sulemana, you can't ignore that his time on the pitch doesn't equate to what "25 appearances" implies.
  21. Listing appearances like that doesn't tell the whole story does it. His championship season for example, it's 25 appearances but only 10 starts and a total time on the pitch of 945 minutes - so 10 and a half games worth of time on the pitch across an entire 46 game season. Granted he didn't get a goal, but playing under Martin his role wasn't to get in the box and get a shot away it was to recycle possession endlessly. Taking his assist ratio and putting it across the whole season and suddenly he's looking at 15+ assists. In a Still team that switches it up from passing to direct counter attack football, a speed merchant with close ball control like Sulemana would thrive in my opinion. But I guess with Edozie coming back who can fill that role, they've identified Sulemana as a good source of funds to help improve other areas of the team.
  22. Have we really only got 3 pre-season friendlies? I remember we used to have about 7 or 8. Or are there other games we only intend to send reserve/youth players to which aren't listed on the site?
  23. Did we? I don't pay close attention to transfer window stuff beyond looking on this forum every now and then.
  24. Careful what you wish for. 2nd half of last season those two were the only attacking players that caused anyone any problems. We've got a front line of BBD, Archer and Armstrong to look forward to at the moment.
