Delap's long throw-ins for Saints (effective?)
Saint_clark replied to Hamilton Saint's topic in The Saints
What makes you think it wasn't Pulis? He's claimed himself that after seeing Delaps long throws on the training ground he asked him specifically to put them in the box that way (and towards the near post). -
Are Stills hands tied regarding Stephens and Bazunu ?
Saint_clark replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
Perhaps. However the disastrous debut Prem season he had after being ridiculously thrown in at such a young age could have handicapped him mentally for his entire career. It's part of the reason so many of us were vocally against him being first choice even before we'd seen him play. -
Palmer, Saka, Gordon, Rogers, Bellingham, Foden, Rashford, Eze all ahead of him for those 3 attacking midfield spots at the moment. Possibly Maddison as well. Think he struggles to get in the squad anyway.
-
Nonsense. We were on course for, and I am certain would have ended up with, the lowest points total in Premier League history under him.
-
Not brave enough = they didn't pass it along our own goal line with four opposition players sprinting at us from the penalty spot. He's a narcissistic prick.
-
Maybe he is. It's pre-season.
-
Literally looks no different to how he always does.
-
I don't disagree, but we were never going to be selling the majority of our squad. It doesn't happen.
-
That's including as you say retirees, loans out as well as players out of contract. First teamers sold was only 7 or 8. People were talking at the end of last season about us selling everyone except 4 or 5 of our first team squad, it was never going to happen.
-
I don't know why so many people were saying we needed to get rid of 15+ players, it never happens when a team gets relegated.
-
It's the top level of women's football in England if that's what you're asking. I wouldn't describe it as the same level as the Prem as that carries certain implications about level of performance.
-
Romano reckons we want him back if we go up again. I wouldn't. He'd rather go and sit on the bench for them than play for us in the Championship after being part of the team that dropped us down there? Fuck him and his inflated ego.
-
People that organise these things really don't know what they're doing. Should be a day long event on the weekend in a big open space somewhere with bars, food stalls, rides and play areas for kids, a VIP area on a stage where the players drink and mingle with live music on a separate stage.
-
Gotta get those blurry pictures that you'll never look at again.
-
Chloe Kelly's off her face 😂
-
Shame they aren't letting the crowd from along the Mall into the road in front of the stage now the bus has gone. Makes it look a little bit bare when there's actually a lot of people turned up. Edit; ah ok now they're letting them through.
-
I thought I heard that, what the fuck was that about???
-
Not sure about the choice of music from the band though.
-
Got someone trying to do her best Terry Wogan at Eurovision impression now, speaking softly and pausing every three or four words. Just talk normally for god sake.
-
It's what you said paraphrased. The actual quote, "so well done but some perspective please", isn't much better. If England men won the euros or world cup do you think any of us would care about perspective? No, we'd be celebrating like it was the end of the war we wouldn't be saying "well actually as a spectacle it was a pretty poor game". Hence my reply - if you can't just enjoy England winning a major trophy, maybe don't bother watching.
-
Book of revelations as in his appearance signals the end of times?
-
"Well done but know your place, don't get over excited". How about you stop watching and talking about it if you aren't going to enjoy it?
-
"A lot of talk" from who? I haven't seen it once. She wouldn't be able to play professionally in the men's game and right now she's probably the best women's player in the game, I think she'll win the ballon d'or either this year or next.
