The expansion of the stadium is likely something the club have seized upon as part of it, achieving planning permission and part funding in an agreement with the council to develop the waterfront to the benefit of the city. Don't disagree with anything you've said, but a development like this once it's done is done for good, and will only reap more rewards if or when we return to the Premier League. And let's be honest it will probably all be done and dusted for less than the cost of one Guido Carrillo so I'm not too bothered about the money being spent.

I went to my local non-league team, Dorchester today. They went 1-0 up then had a dodgy red card and penalty given against them, went in at half time 2-1 down. The players and fans came out for the second half angry and up for the challenge - and ended up winning the game 4-2. That kind of resilience, determination and ACTUAL bravery I don't remember ever seeing in a Russell Martin Saints team. I'll be sticking to watching the Magpies from now on.
